Nowhere near a Premiership player yet.
-
Aye. But we'll get the same old platitudes from Pardew - 'tiredness', 'Europa League hurting us', 'injuries', suspensions', etc. He's losing the fucking plot this year.
-
So frustrated and annoyed at the mo. Bereft of ideas.
-
Exactly. Fucking bonkers. Pards is losing his shit imo.
-
Latte and a jammie dodger.
-
He's poor, tbh. Nowhere near good enough at the moment.

It's also a mentality thing, I feel. We've seemed to excel in previous seasons/situations when the media etc have written us off. This year there's an expectation that we're going to do well. Whether that's Pardew's fault for not installing in the players that 'siege mentality' I'm not sure, but he needs to do much more to fire up the squad before a game. The way we've started more or less all games so far this season is nothing short of farcical.
-
It's up to Pardew to change that, though. Whether it's dropping players or man-motivating them (something that we know he can do, in fairness) the buck stops with him. His 'tactics' have been nothing short of fucking criminal these past few weeks with little sign that he's willing to mix things up. I can see why players would become demotivated under the current system.

HBA is a flair player that thrives on confidence. Not surprising he's been shite given that he's effectively having to do it on his own.
-
Starting to look bereft of ideas. No way could someone even remotely competent fail to notice the lack of creativity in attack.
-
Given that Nolan played under Pardew, he should at least have identified a way to shut him out. We're fucking shocking given the talent at our disposal. Play some fucking possession football.
-
Really struggling to understand why we're seeing the same shite starts week in week out. Baffling that nothing has been done to correct this.

Can't see us winning this one. Fat Sam always seems to do well up here and Wham are good at what they do. 0-2 with yet another frustratingly static performance. -
Frustrating the fuck out me at the moment. We've been utterly garbage so far this season and there's absolutely no sign that he's willing to change things. No signs of improvement whatsoever in the attacking third.
-
Aye. Given that many here expected a bumming I think it's acceptable. We've gotten absolutely rotten luck lately with shite refs and injuries. Fingers firmly crossed that Cabaye, Perch and Ba are ok though. We're fucked otherwise.
-
Aye. Words will simply not suffice in a situation like this.
-
Hope he doesn't keep a clean sheet again today.
-
Fingers crossed Pardew has seen the light regarding Simpson. Certainly not good enough if we're hoping to progress.
-
Will have a good game against us today, I fear.

Not sure I agree, tbh. How do we know we've no better alternatives? Do I think either Ferguson or Tavernier could come into the side immediately and make a significant difference? Perhaps not. But unless we're giving these players an opportunity we simply don't know what they're capable of. Yes, they're raw, yes they're inexperienced, but like almost every other decent player out there at moment they need to learn somewhere. As far as I'm concerned they deserve an opportunity.
-
Is that the same Shane Ferguson who got absolutely roasted in his last performance at LB in the league? Yes. The principal difference being that Ferguson is learning. The kid needs to be given an opportunity and, frankly, a few shitty performances are to be expected given his lack of experience. I for one would tolerate that, especially given the potential he's already shown, over a guy who fails to offer anything going forward and very little in the way of further improvement.
-
Pardew ought to have the balls to drop players like Simpson and Jonas when out of form/shit. I honestly don't think Fergie would look out of place in side at LB (shifting Santon to RB), certainly no worse than this guy. The kid needs to learn, we need to improve.
