  1. Georgie Thomson, sky sports news presenter. Can't get enough of that husky voice of hers meself!
  2. His source, another message board I presume, also names the 4th player as Mark 'moped legs' Delaney. fuck that then
  3. mental. Maybe the fourth could even be an experienced, recognised left-back.
  4. He played his first game in the French Ligue 1 championship on February 17, 2001. Caçapa announced on April 11, 2007 that he would leave Olympique Lyonnais at the end of the season, after playing over 6 years for the French club. He will sign for Newcastle United Football Club on the 2nd of August 2007. He has been training with Newcastle since the 29th July 2007 and has been in talks with Sam Allardyce on the thursday. Cacapa said upon signing (in broken English), "I'm lookin' forward to playin for the Toon. I aim to get sloshed doon tha Bigg Market every Frida neet before games. That way I'll have Rooney and the likes in my metaphorical back pocket". Someone has made his wiki entry make interesting reading now was this anyone here?
  5. freetranslation.com calls him a "Serbian Head Office", not a Serbian power station
  6. first post since I got back from the match. Points to be made for anyone that didn't see it:- The result was nowt, it really was men against boys for most of the game. That was pretty much the youth team. Either Hull are really s***, didn't try, or we have a set of superstars on our hands, because IMO the kids held out very well. In theory, Hull should have battered them. Darren Lough (playing left back) had a better game than Babayaro has done in most of his games in an NUFC shirt. I think we'll see this kid thrown in the deep end at some point in the season if we don't get a left back in. I think Sam's had us working on set pieces (offensively). Anyone who saw the chance (Wiafe?)-Danquah missed will have seen Hunty (IIRC) was totally unmarked coming in round the back to knock it back across goal. Looked like a training ground move. Andy Carroll appeared to be our man in the air at defending set pieces, seemed to make every clearance. Slightly less important points:- The KC Stadium is s*** Hull is s*** Hull are s*** There was a bloke in the Hull end in a mackem top. Doubt he made it home with that top on We spent the evening having to endure Soccer AM chanting, and other stuff like "Shall we sing a song for you?" and "Who are ya?" from a bunch of about 30 14 year old's. One of these 14 year olds was wearing a bucket hat and got the pissed ripped out of him from our lot. Good chants regarding the flood down there:- "You're just a town full of water, town full of water" "Stand up if your house is dry" "You only sing when you're drowing" "Get ya wellies on, get ya wellies on"
  7. argh man, no offence to them, but 260 mile round trip to watch kids
  8. Mags Serbia, if you read this, what's your take on him? (Assuming you know more about him than we do)
  9. He might of gone, but I heard what Alberto quoted on SSN too.
  10. So you weren't at the talk in? nah. Why? Was something said that revealed alot and also makes me look like a prat in saying that? Have I embarrassed myself in not being a "soopafan"?
  11. first time I've looked at this thread, and tbf, can't be arsed to scroll through 7 pages. first question that comes to mind though, "why the fuck would he leave us for Fulham?"
  12. on SSN prior to the talk in he said selling Martins was bollocks. West Ham aren't matching his value of Dyer, and totally wrangled out of talking about transfers, instead waffling that he prefers to be linked with players joining, rather than leaving etc. It's Alan Smith, I'm sure of it
  13. yup - got mine on Friday. The lad I'm going with see's this as a great excuse to start up his idea that football should be watched lying down over 3/4 seats
  14. Interestingly though, the lad in question told me that at the time Carroll hardly ever started for the U-18's, whereas he himself was a regular. Can only think Carroll must've come on leaps and bounds if this was true.
  15. Aye he's probably a charver c*ck atm but if he makes it big time with us then who can complain? Andy Carroll was like that. I'm mates with a lad who got released from the U-18's this summer. My mate met him at half-time during a match, and Andy Carroll had bleached blonde hair with blue tips. Bit of usless information to back you up on that.
  16. talking to a mackem mate, he's absolutely bricking himself for the new season. Said Richardson had a 'mare and Halford was absolutely shite. Reckons they're going straight back down.
  17. I really am stumped as to who this can be. Probably a nobody, whose "experience" is that they have 60 caps for a country from the old Eastern Bloc
  18. now its getting silly. Gazza & Lindisfarne - fog on the tyne, then.
  19. I bet my seat I had in the Milburn paddock is one of those available, considering the one to the left of me never had a full-time occupant for the past 3 seasons. I'd laugh if in 3 years time when I come to get a ST I can have my seat back.
  20. If Local Hero is scrapped, put something totally out of the blue in it's place. Nothing corny "On A Ragga Tip" by SL2 would be my choice. That stupid suggestion hints I want to keep Local Hero.
  21. yeah, although I missed most of the game, I heard the PA person announce Shay got MOTM. How the fuck did that work? Commentators said he hardly had owt to do
  22. Dunno like. Was on the till at work and some mong was buying the Daily Star on Sunday, who's back page read, "Heinze means Baines" (surely the shittest and worst attempt at a pun ever). Looked on their website, and its not on there, but supposedly SA will go in for Baines should a Heinze deal not be pushed through.
