whey, at away games why do the stewards at some particular stadiums (Riverside) go nuts when you stand? and didn't NUFC used to send out "no standing" leaflets with away tickets?

pull what you want from freetranslation.... The Newcastle wants to put on file to Julian Belletti and will throw the remainder because of it, al point that its coach and general manager has thought to be presented in Barcelona this week to try to activate the operation. Samuel 'Sam' Allardyce has a passage London-Barcelona for this Thursday and its objective is to convince al right winger and international Brazilian of the FC Barcelona, that will be very important in the new project of the 'Magpies' (Magpies). The picture albinegro has been reinforced very well with a view toward the season that has just begun in the Premier League, but still a player of hierarchy lacks him to cover the lateral dexterous one of his defense. Allardyce has thought about Belletti, and as has plenipotentiary powers, his intention is not another that to be carried al author of the goal that was worth the last League of Champions conquered by the Barça in Paris. The coach and manager of the Newcastle anticipates to present an offering not over the 4 million euro by Julian Belletti and he would do him, he as transcended last night, in person. The Newcastle, that began the Premier winning al Bolton for 1-3, he asked al Barça in their day by Eidur Gudjonhsen and by Saying, although the managements did not prosper something about Big Sam going to Barcelona on Thursday???

Arrest warrant out for Man City owner
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to OzzieMandias's topic in Football
from Sky News... "With the impending extradition of former Thai-PM, and new Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra to his homeland to face corruption charges, Richard Scudamore has issued the following statement." "It has been agreed that Mr F Shepherd has been installed by the Premier League to oversee the day-to-day running of Manchester City Football Club. We hasten to add this is only a temporary appointment". Mr Scudamore then had to face a media backlash whereby it had been suggested he had asked Mr Shinawatra to bring back a Thai ladyboy for his own personal pleasure. Mr Scudamore added, "The 'women' that I chose to go after are my own personal choice, this should not affect the position I hold within the Premier League. I am not alone in my unusual fetish, just ask sunderland manager Roy Keane, he prefers the canine type!" Durham Constabulary and Northumbria Police are working together to investigate this allegation -

there is a dodgy keeper soloist in the gallowgate middle tier aswell would this be the fellow who wears the 96 grandad collar top, often chants alone during games and is more often than not mortal, but also fuckin hilarious? dunno, sits behind me in an over the shoulder type way, half way up the middle tier,on line with the left hand (as we look from the stand) goal post. could well be the same person. He always brings humour to the games

just for a bit of alternative discussion, we get 9/10 and are considered to be the best away trip. Here's what their little piece had to say... What's it like? Full of half-nude Geordies with moobs. Brilliant cathedral-like ground looming over the city, all stands enclosed with distinct, slightly uneven stands. Features the largest cantilevered structure in Europe for the beardies to admire, and its still full of character. And the away end? The sky. It's up 14 flights of stairs at the top of the St John Hall Stand. Room for 3,000. Great views of the city, but you're a long way from the pitch - shirt numbers can be a blur. Good acoustics, though, and the legroom and steepness of the tier are perfect. To Eat...Football's famous chicken balti pie? Yes, plus the usuals in all branded Toon packaging, served in big concourses full of plasma screens. Decent facilities. Where to drink? There's beer in the ground, but there's no reason to drink there when the billions of pubs and bars in town are a short walk away. Most away fans tend to congregate near the station. Make a weekend of it - the best local attractions Saturday night in the Bigg Market. Marvel as semi-naked youths pub-crawl in deep midwinter. Or for a more sedate trip, stay in Whitley Bay. Best home fans chant "Me brother's in Borstal, me sister's got pox, me mother's a hooker down Hartlepool docks, me aunty got murdered, me uncle went mad, and Jack the Ripper's me dad. Lalalalalalalalalalala TOON!" Must say I've never heard that one In local pub row, don't insult... Shearer's not boring on TV, Peter Beardsley isn't ugly and Gazza's not mad. Overall trip rating 9. Doesn't get much better than this. Massive ground, city-centre location, huge range of pubs and usually ultra-friendly, in a non-cheesy way. It's a must-visit. The list in full... Newcastle - 9 Everton & Villa - 8 Villa, Portsmouth, mackems, West Ham, Spurs, Birmingham - 7 Man Utd & Arsenal - 6 Bolton, Chelsea, Liverpool, Reading - 5 Blackburn & Man City - 4 Wigan & Derby - 3 smogs - 1

Alan Smith to Martin Tyler on SSN... "everyone knows how hard it is to come t'reebok stadium." "we had to make sure we were focussed." "we were chuffed to go in at 3-0." "everyone knows how much this game meant t'gaffer." "we have the nucleus of a good team" "don't get carried away from this result" "need players who are disciplined and want to give all t'team" "you saw committment there today"

not a clue where I can watch it like. One pub near me had Canal a few years back, then swapped it for Art along with the rest. Might have to nip in and ask them if they'll be showing it. I've rang up before and they refuse to comment, or say "no", incase you're a copper!!
