  1. Should prob just let him crack on then tbh May increase the chances of Ashley leaving.
  2. Make sure you mention this about Carver. Proper wound me up. Who do they think they are? I will. I've already mentioned it on their FB group. What exactly did Carver say? Must of missed that one. Apparently called the fans "f***ing c***s" and offered them out to a fight at the training ground. Disgrace. Please remind those twats the pardew quote "thank god were not in Europe" ram the facts down their throats and don't let them forgot such glorious ambition.
  3. I've said before that all along we've missed to easiest most simple trick to get back at Ashley: advertise a rival company. Its what would hurt him the most (aside from not attending games). It would be so much more effective than "get out of our club". Even a poster saying s*** DIRECT is still focusing on HIS company and still, in effect, advertising his company. IMO we need to stay clear of SD and put all the focus on a rival company - and the most obvious one from where I can see is DW SPORTS (he seems to have shares in a lot of different sports company's like JD). Any banner about Pardew/Ashley? Simply have DW SPORTS in the corner. Any t-shirt about Pardew/Ashley? Again, simply have DW SPORTS in the corner. We need to beat him at his own game, he's using SJP for free advertising, we need to do the same for his rival. DW Sports is a rival to Sports Direct in the same way that Alan Pardew is a rival to Jose Mourinho. DW doesn't even have an online store FFS. http://www.dwsports.com "Your online DW Sports Store is coming soon... " If not them is there anyone else?

  5. I take it posting a video from YouTube isn't a banning offence? I've got a Keegan tribute video made a while ago I was going to post.
  6. I am not going to the game but will be making/ordering the following banners, around 6ft x 3ft, if anyone will take them to hold up. Anyone who will do that let me know. http://i60.tinypic.com/dnldo0.png http://i57.tinypic.com/jg16pc.png
  7. This is easily the best formation to get the best out of most the players imo, it solves a lot of problems. Sissoko back to where he's most natural, Ben Arfa given enough freedom to attack, and Cisse not being isolated.
  8. This for me, Haidara & Debuchy down the wings, Sissoko & Cabaye in the middle with Ben Arfa a little further ahead benhind Carroll & Cisse. It would play to the strengths of most the players and there' be a brilliant balance to the side. That's mouthwatering to be honest. But the CB's need to be bloody good, as they will not have too much protection. True although Cabaye & Sissoko would pick their runs forward carefully, with both taking turns when to sit in and help the defence. Plus both wing backs wouldnt have to boming forward at the same time.

  10. Its definetely one of those 'big man' striker cliche's, for us he was everywhere linking up the play really well. Now, especially with the fact he's playing under Allardyce, people forget he showed in his time here theres more to him than just standing upfront waiting to flick the ball on with his head.
  11. I'll try again, then... I dont know- but a wild guess would be he celebrated a mackem goal? Think this must've been the only likely explanation, but it was pretty horrific to see first-hand. The lad took a pasting. Fighting, fair enough, but when it's people stamping and kicking at someone on the ground it goes too far for me. I'm assuming from the venom a few were spitting that they'd warned this lad already though, now that I think back, someone was shouting at one of the stewards that they should've had him out earlier (as though he'd been flagged and f*** all was done). In terms of the actual beating the stewards did f*** all again, police turned up five minutes later when it was all over and some woman had to then be escorted out on a stretcher thing by St. Johns with what looked like a panic attack from witnessing it all. There was fighting at the end of the game in the SE Corner low down between a teeanger in a Polka dot shirt and a bloke. He was mouthing off and it all got quite nasty tbh. I have no idea what started it, but the stewards were horrendous at diffusing the situation. The one man was accusing a young lad infront of hitting his partner (by hitting I'm not sure if it was something accidental or something on purpose).
  12. For me I would play: Cisse Gutierrez Sissoko Marvaux Perch Cabaye Haidaira Mbiwa Taylor Debuchy Krul Perch is a must for this imo, or at least ahead of Tiote (maybe could accept Gutierrez centre & Gouffran left). Learn our lesson with our game at the SOS re Tiote, and the whole season really. Perch wns tackles but also keeps the ball and has good control. 5 fresh players (including Marvaux) with Gouffran, Ben Arfa & Shola available to come on... not bad at all.

    Alan Pardew

----------------------------------------Cisse-------------------------------------- ------------------------Carroll---------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------Ben Arfa--------------------- ---------------------------Sissoko------------------------------------------------ Santon------------------------------Cabaye----------------------------Debuchy -------------------Perch-------------Taylor------------Mbiwa------------------- ----------------------------------------Krul--------------------------------------- For me whether its Gouffran, Marvaux or Ben Arfa playing left or right of a '3', they spend to much time ending up in the left-bacl/right-bck positions tracking the full-backs, and leaving Cisse isolated. Cisse also could do with some help physically. Part of the worry if Pardew does get Carroll or another striker, is he will go back to 4-4-2. Yes another striker complimenting Cisse solves one problem, but then Ben Arfa/Marvaux/Gourffran are stuck on the wing and that problem would only worsen. Personally I'd buy Carroll back and play the above meaning Cisse does get more help upfront and Ben Arfa also gets to play without having to track full-backs defensively, doing more work higher up the pitch. Cabaye can dictate the passing with Sissoko getting up and down the pitch - dropping back to help out physically when nedeed. There would be good width to get crosses in, Debuchy & Santon have the staminia for wing-back, and Haidara could also play left wing-back (possibily left centre-back too). Those centre-backs are good enough on the ball to push forward and be part of the passing, and the players' individual abilities are maximised more in that set-up imo. Anita could play centre-mid or right-wing back, Marvaux in Be Arfa's position or the 2nd striker, and Gouffran possiblily any of the front 3 positions. Obvioulsy we do need to buy a couple of centre-backs, with this assumin Coloccini will go in the summer.

    Papiss Cissé

He didnt - by the end he was in a strop, Swansea away I remember very sulky body language, throwing a hissy at Pardew when he got subbed against Bolton, and got/allowed his agent to publically whinge about being asked to play "left wing" after the Everton game this season. f***ing livid. http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Demba+Ba+Papiss+Cisse+Swansea+City+v+Newcastle+D5DbT2-GjlYl.jpg What a clever sarcastic little boy you are? I was talking about the match in general, not a snap photo of the goal, but obviously thats self explanatory.

  16. But thats what he have done all season with the long ball 4-4-2 (straight off the back of the 4-3-3 winning run last season too)! Hence the outcry! And who wants to see Ben Arfa picking the ball up in his own half all the time?? Its not some complicated agenda, its just common sense, and if Pardew isnt bothered Ben Arfa is having to play so deep then most people are very suprised at that.

    Alan Pardew

Swansea couldnt get in behind once, as much as they had the ball we were actually comfortable, kept the shape well and broke on them. We started 4-4-2 against Bolton, and Im sure Pardew pretty much admitted it was to try and get Ba a goal. He was subbed and refused to shake Pardew's hand and I remember being really annoyed that we treat Bolton with such disregard and at the cheek Ba had to do that. It wouldnt fix things over-night, but it would help just to have some consistancy to potentially get some fluidity going. Instead of chopping & changing so much as we have this season. One thing it would change instantly is Ben Arfa being higher up the pitch and beating people in the final third instead of his own half, and thats a no-brainer for me.
  18. If that's the only reason we're not doing as we were last season (and I fear it is given our complete change in tactics and the constant chatter about keeping him happy) then Pards wants shooting with s***. No player should dictate to the manager. He can leave if he's not willing to be part of a team. And don't get me wrong, I love Ba. He's an absolutely magnificent footballer and he's scored some very important goals for us but we were a brilliant side when he played on the left. Not only that he played bloody well for the team too! No amount of media claptrap from pundits will tell me he was anything other than a bit out of form in front of goal. He had chances, but he just wasn't taking them as well as he was earlier in the season. Playing on the left had nothing to do with it. What I do find bizarre is that at times Ba was practically playing a holding midfield role today he was dropping so deep to come to get the ball, yet he's allegedly unhappy at playing much further up the pitch on the left. Spot on imo.
  19. I understand what your saying. Though if you take that MK Dons player today, who rounded the keeper... was he fouled? Was he impeded? Did that keeper actually hinder him running past at all? He might have brushed him slightley, but of course he didnt impede him. Hence the need for the player to throw himself to the ground, which he did. There wasnt even a natural stumble, if bieng brushed by the keeper did impede him, then he would have at least stumbled while trying to carry on running, in which case a penalty would have been fair do's. But he's ran past the keeper and thrown himself to the ground totally on his own accord to get the penalty. Everyone watching that knows deep down he's dived, they know it, of course he has. But theres a mental block been put on inccidents like this, a lot due to a culture of diving being promoted by ex-players & tv companies. Its created a mentality that theres is nothing wrong whatsoever for a player to cheat if he's touched in the slighest way. Thats the biggest obstacle imo, getting past this stupid mental barrier despite what the like of 'good old kammy' & sky spew out, because now people are not even believeing their own eyes anymore when watching replays.
  20. It's not acceptable but exaggerating contact is nowhere near the same as diving and i get the feeling that some people feel they are the same thing. For example Jonas exaggerates contact each and every week but would we call him a diver? no. Why isnt it the same thing? Contact is fair and part of the game - because its a 'contact sport'. The question isnt whether there was contact, but whether the player was impeded. Why is it any different when the player dives to the ground after contact, which has not impeded him one bit? Its not; its cheating, and this is blurring the line as to whether football is actually a contact sport or not. Commentators & media are promoting this, mostly because they are too close to the players & clubs and dont want to upset them imo, which has lead to, basically, brainwashing as to what is cheating & what isnt. Looking for the slighestst bit of contact to justify a player diving to the ground is redundant in a 'contact sport'. Its not always clear-cut whether the player is actually impeded, so sometimes it can be hard to tell, and it dosent help when refs dont give fouls such as the Scotland player getting bearhugged by the centre-back against Wales, but Gutierrez is 50% of the time fouled, but the other 50% diving to the ground after being touched. And it pisses me off seeing it, just like it did when Duff did it for us. Get on with the game and be above that crap.
  21. There probably hasn't been a clearer booking in the history of the game. f***ing get over it. And there's no such thing as "Justified dissent", as if Webb getting the decision wrong prior to that one suddenly makes it OK for Cheik to behave like a f***ing child who's had his sweets taken off him. Call Webb a c*** all you like for blowing for the initial foul, but after Tiote acted like a petulant 3 year old he had no option but to show him a card. Its common sense, theres a difference between a clear 'in your face' dissent, swearing etc, and being gutted & dismayed the foul has been given, facing away from the ref aswell... I remember when we played Juventus away, ref blew for a free kick egde of the box, Dabizas rolled on the ground in disapointment because he couldnt believe it was given. Whys he do that? Because he's passionate and desparate to win. He was never a disrespectful player in a million years, its different shades of dissapointment and clear dissent.
  22. Really think Carroll can be more of an all-rounder than people think.
  23. the business people at the club would be dealing with it. nothing suspicious in that, is there?? Business people at the club are dealing with this but in other transfers Pards himself has been on the phone to the other clubs chairman? Its so obviously normal that every transfer is negotiated bewteen chairman, so I dont see why he'd be referring to that.
