lets think about this for a sec. this statement comes 1 day after we are relegated. surely if hes just staying here for the money, hed wait to see what better options are available. he'd wait for someone like blackburn hull stoke to come with the money. yes maybe not as much but surely hed give it a while to weigh up his options? he has just issued a statement the next day which for me proclaims loyalty. ill be gutted if he stays on 70k a week though. and for those saying noone will pay nearly that, hull signed jimmy bulllard from fulham purely because they offered him huge wages (if you agree with the flham fans) and so maybe we have hope of getting rid of a few.

i reckon wed have trouble getting brunt. ebanks blake? no chance. why would he drop a division? scotland i dont see why not.

these are only going to cost £15 to £20 a game for me as a student!

If it makes them happy then fine. i doubt wed be making "champions league you're having a laugh" banners if the boot was on the other foot but there you go. in any case, i bet at any ground the fans would be more interested in sending us down than actually winning the game themselves. i dont know what it is about our club that the whole country unites in hating us but there you go. let them make their banners i couldnt care less, we have bigger things to worry about

never have jumped on this "we are the best supporters" bandwagon. how can you rank how good a teams fans are? yes we as fans are certainly amongst the most passionate around. but, spare a thought for those who travel up and down the whole country supporting conference and below teams? surely they are the best fans? and just because the likes of fulham and wigan have small fanbases doesnt mean that ours is neccessarily "better" than theres

i was at the same game pilko. im from the south and fulham have always been the team i go and see to get my football fix when newcastle arent accessible. as you say, absolute gem of a stadium in a nice place. i really like the team, play good passing football with no diving or anything like that. agree with the atmosphere not being that good, but there were a few chants where i was (in the johnny haynes stand- the old one with the cottage on the left) was much better when i went to see them knocked out by man utd 4-0 in the fa cup. the only thing that pissed me off was the bloke near me who did not stop slagging his team off throughout the game- slagged off kochesky and gera and didnt seem to notice that they were beating villa 3-1 ad were on course for their highest ever premiership finish!
