  1. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5247848,00.html?DCMP=KNC-SkyTicker1 Kranckjar injured for the rest of the season. on another note, always makes me laugh that not only can people predict the score, they can also predict the exact minute that someone can score in
  2. Im not really arsed as I hate both clubs, but I would rather it was a good honest game of football without controversy rather than top club favouritism.
  3. Yet if it was the other way around the pundits wouldn't be giving you a chance. thats because no-one EVER scores against "united" at old trafford
  4. id quite like to see a 1-1 draw here and fulham to finish 7th and liverpool to win the league
  5. fulham at craven cottage when we beat them with that 0-1 90th minute joey barton penatly
  6. only been into football for a short time relative to others but man united beating fulham 4-0 at craven cottage in the fa cup this season. rested half their players inc ronaldo, scored 2 blinders and generally took a very good fulham side to the cleaners
  7. perhaps more relevantly, once hes promoted his team, why on earth does he start talking about varnishing his garage?
  8. i had £12 on spurs HT and newcastle FT. odds of 66 to 1 would have returned over £800!!! looking at the previous fixtures they were bloody good odds at the time
  9. Seriously ? 2nd bottom, 4 points adrift, all bar Hull seemingly picking up points and only 6 victories all season i know. ill be honest, its taken me a long long time to actually get round to believing we could actually go down, ive always dismissed it. ffs i thought we were going to finish 7th for most of the season! still, theres still hope for us. 3 winnable home games, where there should be an atmosphere. plus villa away- the last game of the season the form book always goes out the window- see fulham at portsmouth and west ham at old trafford. id actually look forward to a season in the championship if there was a guarantee that wed come straight back up afterwards
  10. gone froma 5 ot a 7. realistically though, were definately not a 9 or a 10 yet regarrdless of what anyone says
  11. we'd inevitably be on tv quite a lot as a championship team anyway
  12. I was already on at all rates from 8's down. Gutted they won yesterday but, as you say, it's not over yet. yeah could still easily go down, have not got a good manager and ill win £120 if they do!
  13. Whether or not Man city have hugely more potential than us is debatable but Shay obviously thinks they do. as someone else said, he was one of the few players that we had over the period who gave 100% in every game, and he saved our bacon more than a couple of times. How is Shay getting this much stick when the Nzogbia situation has been forgotten about by most fans? He was a loyal servant who decided (in my opinion quite fairly) that he wanted to go to a club where he can win something after newcastle have massive failed to live up to expectations
  14. What if the pub that you had worked in for ten years wasn't really short staffed though, and you were the best barman there. And all of a sudden a bar which was just about the same as the bar you were working in attracted your attention as they had been taken over by a rich businessman. So you go and work there instead, after making noises in public that you would really like to work there etc and that you couldn't cope working in the pub you were currently at. So off you toddle to the new pub, and they are still kinda "meh", and you see your old place of work slowly going down the pan. You knew that had you stayed at the pub then there could have been the chance that the pub wouldn't go under, after all you were the best barman there, and had loads of influence and kept up the morale of other workers etc. Would you go into the pub that was going under and say to all the regulars (who loved the pub and couldn't imagine drinking anywhere else) "I am now at this other pub, but I hope to God you don't go under." and not expect some of the regulars to say "f*** off you t***, you walked away from us when we needed you." and if the pub you left was rapidly heading down the tubes faster than you can say "Weatherspoons" ? And all the staff who you left behind, and the customers, knew it ? and if you could have had the chance to keep the pub going for a while longer just by staying for a few more months? Would you still walk into that pub and say "Sorry like lads." ill keep my mouth shut in future. even then though i cant hold much grudge to Shay, especially not for saying "I hope NUFC stay up". Just because he left its because he felt a move to man city would be a step up in his career. he obviously still gives a shit. Its like if a youth player from hereford supported hereford united all his life, he would have to leave to play at the highest level and may have to fight the management to be able to get his way. im not going to begrudge shay that although i wish he had gone in the usmmer.
  15. agree with NE5. bit of a wierd analogy but if the pub i work became short staffed and then someone decided to offer me a better job, i wouldnt feel any loyalty to them especially as theyre taxing me at 20% when i only work 1 day a week the bastards
  16. so next time MCFC come to SJP, will people be booing Shay or applauding him?
  17. surely we could get someone big to just stand in front of where he is going to make the throw and block it?
  18. wouldnt object to it in the championship
  19. do you know what, i may actually go for sunderland hull and brom for the drop now. can see sland and hull drawing at the weekend, which would be great. dont seem to have much spirit between them
