just an interesting thought here. if we were (theoretically) to sell every member of our squad, what kind of prices do we think we should be looking at? we have a very good playing staff these days, and if you had to put a figure on anyones heads what would it be? you see (averagy) players like bent going for £17million, so i was just thinking it might be interesting to debate how much each player would be worth. i think sams done very well to get the players we have done at the prices we did. players like taylor and nzogbia would surely be worth £8 million, or maybe more? discuss.

Meh. Don't really care about all this Barton s**** anymore, he's gone. I just think that Jimmy Greaves calling him average and brainless is funneh. PS: We we're going down until we signed Mpenza. oh yeah him as well. i always think of him as shit but he scored 2 goals meaning you won away to us and boro? i think barton, dunne and richards were good for you (distin as well?) mpenza got some vital goals, take 1 of those first 4 out of the equation you may well hav been relegated. -
he was really good last season, and yet everyone seems on his back. hes a 442 player yes, but lets hope he can get back to what he was last season, except better. he was one of our best (ok fair enough not much of a task) last season and everyone was raving about him! i think hes really good, but just out of form.

i think barton had a point tbh, without him they would have gone down probably. still a bit arrogant though. -

well if we played a defensive formation against say chelsea, wer fucked because our defence has never been great anyway, theyd score 1 and sit back leaving us to attempt attacks with a defensive formation surely? -

should suit each other perfectly those two. Should be them two in the middle for every home game when fit maybe im just thick but why every home game? why would we have to change tactics purely because of the stadium we are playing in? -
not in the squad for tonights game preston v southampton

ok so bartons playing for the reserves tonight, along with enrique, faye and emre. does this not rule them out for everton, and also how can he be 4 weeks off playing 1st team if hes playing for reserves? there cant be that much difference! http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1124638,00.html -

do u reckon if he plays say 40 mins in the everton game he could play 90 in the spurs game afterwards because im coming up to see that from kent, and it would be awesome! -
http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1121906,00.html hopefully this will mean our midfield actually starts performing!!
-
yeah hes good at least in the squad i think. however his abysmal haircut means he cannot start imo.
-
agreed entirely. we need to do well, but its too much to expect a new manager to come in and instantly move us up from 13th to 6th all in one season! look at villa- they moved up what about 4 or 5 places when oneill came in? if we move from 13th to 8th, and give the fa cup a good go ill be happy this season. we need long term stability, and the injuries arent going to instantly sort themselves out- hopefully this season will be better than last, and so on.

Wigan? Games at Fulham recently, maybe... how many 3-3 draws have they had? must be depressing though that they are scoring all these goals and in the relegation zone!!
-
oh yeah well im gutted that nobby left and will not accept that he still isnt here!! carr on the other hand has definately captained us for a uefa cup game last season not a great player but apparently a good leader who "tries hard". well fair enough, but i dont think his footballing abilities warrant a place in the statrting 11 anyway i agree although both been on the bench recently, maybe big sam doesnt value them as much as we do
