Is it possible that finishing 5th and competing in the Europa League would lower profits rather than increase them? You're unlikely to win it due to Champs League drop outs, the money is sh*te, the games many and the squad and wage bill needed much greater. 11-8th is perhaps the optimal profitability level without ploughing millions into the squad and coaching staff. This must be the only reason for their behaviour / strategy. Coz its obvious that for the last couple of years (even with pardew and without much squad depth) that adding a quality player in defence, midfield and attack would have had us easily in top 8 without much effort.

im about 95% broken and have been for a couple of years, i guess. My only hope is Ashley leaving or if he by chance should be so mad that he install an exciting manager in the summer...ala De Boer or Garde. Also 3 new CBs are desperately needed. A good manager and a handful of good players and we could easily challenge for 4-7 every year....which is ironic. Its actually looks like they (the regime) are doing their best so that we finish 8-13 every year! But thats old news. Since we finished 5th it would have been so easy to keep that position just by investing in a couple of good players per season. still do not understand their motivation for not doing so....fans/media would be much understanding and happy.

daniel wass is a good player. His best positions is RM/RW and RB. He would be ok cover for Cabella (RW) and Janmaat (RB). dont think he will come here as i think he will prefer to be first choice.
-
i do not have a problem with him going there to gain form. Haidara will show what he can do. If there is a clause to buy end of season i would be against it though!
-
Attack is where we have best cover especially with de Jong back. We should buy 3-4 CBs and sell Williamson, colo and Taylor. All should leave in the summer. Taylor as 3 or 4th choice I could live with for another season tops

Good player - but past it - sort of! Not good enough for us...4-5 years younger then maybe....
-
Not a good start for you here. Shut up! Never got a proper chance at CB. Played out of position and didn't have a manager that backed him. Never got the chance to recover mentally and adapt. For this alone i will never forgive or rate pardew!

well...not surprised at all. Watch him keep us up and earn a proper contract in the summer. I will probably not watch anymore matches this season. its over anyway!
-
first task for the new manager in the summer should be buying 4 new CBs. What are the odds for that happening.....
-
I want him so much! Know I will be disappointed
-
Fuck it! I can wait, Frank!
-
my mood hasn´t changed one bit since Pardew left....its sad...its so very sad! Please give us a good manager or fuk off!
-
Colo should not be our manager!
-
holding back my celebration until 100% confirmed. Also very excited about who our new manager would be. I really like someone like De Boer...but we will end up with Sherwood or Pulis
-
no, no and no! foreign manager please. English managers are sh*t - at least the ones available.
-
Im a Dane and a Laudrup fan...but i have lost faith in his manager abilities (1 good season and things falls apart)
-
WOW - This is the best analysis i have ever heard from outside this forum

Don´t jinx it, Mike! But you are right. What is giving me hope is that NUFC or Pardew has not come out and denied it. (fingers crossed). I do not think Ashley would have a problem with pardew leaving as things have developed. I think they are pretty close still and hopefully they both have come to realize that pardew will never take the club further. Also his relation with the fans can not be restored. Pardew is not more than a few defeats away from chaos and will always be and he knows it! Hopefully he had enough and CP seems a good way out. He can leave us in a OK position and keep his reputation. CP is not a step up but it could still be a "dream" move for pardew...its in London and he seems to have warm feelings for the club. De Boer sounds like a the perfect replacement...but i have zero confidence in Ashley going for a manager like him. Personally i would be more than happy to wait for him to come in the summer. I would be perfect....much more than i dare dream of...i can´t count how many times this regime have disappointed me
-
think he is a good signing. Hopefully his future role here will be as a sub.
-
im still shocked by Evertons performance....they looked like....us? no ban for Cisse imo...although it wasn´t pretty.
-
might work under weird conditions - but that does explain his horrible (defensive) tactics, personality, mismanagement for several players....and i could go on all night.....
-
out of nowhere (for me at least) please be true! im trying not to think about who should/could replace....(someone mentioned De Boer...sounds ace...but won´t happen )
