The one player I hope doesn’t get mentioned in this thread is Vurnon Anita. I never EVER saw anything from this man and I don’t want his to have some sort of cult like status at the club he absolutely does not deserve. Murphy on the other hand will be a contender in a few years. Overpayed - yes, underperformed - yes but as the years ticked on, Murphy become a solid backup player and his efforts will not be forgotten. Hopefully he can continue on next season.

Obertan was the first time I actively saw a player bottling challenges. I at least thought professionals gave their all until I saw him. He’s the worst. Just watch a few comps of him and you’ll see he’s like an actual footballer. At the Euros it seemed like he was just a really good positional player being in the right place at the right time but I didn’t realize how good he actually was on the ball, you’ll be surprised to see how many strikers he leaves on the ground as he tempts them to press only to run past them with ease. Very nippy, very sharp.
