Based on a couple of things I've heard that have happened at Southend this season, I'd tend to agree.

Some very shoddy goalkeeping for our 3rd and 4th goals I thought. For Gouffran's header it looks like the keeper just watched it trickle in a yard to the side of him. His positioning looks wrong on the 4th as well and he probably should have kept it out once he got hand to it. Oh well, f*** it, huge 3 points.

Great stuff, just turned the radio on to hear their 3rd goal go in, was going to turn off but glad I didn't now. I had the cat on my lap, who's been ill recently, and my lass had requested that I didn't shout if we scored. So I basically resorted to pretty much shaking my entire body and manically waving my fist without making a noise when we scored both of the injury time goals. Must have looked like I was having a seizure. The cat probably thought there was an earthquake or something.

Loved on the highlights how he would just take a touch and then whip the ball in from the left. If we have Mitrovic in the team it might actually be better to have Ritchie playing on the left.

Great to hear, he's very quickly become an essential player in midfield for us and one we were severely lacking. His ability to put his foot in and be aggressive but also be athletic and good on the ball sets him apart from the majority of players in this league. Works really well with Shelvey and we got him for a relative pittance, could turn out to be a great signing.

I've got to say I find it hilarious that before the season started my Sunderland supporting friend was doubting how much we would be behind Rafa if we didn't start the season well, thinking we would turn on him really quickly after a couple of defeats. Fast forward a few weeks, we're fully behind Rafa, our season seems to be going in the right direction and they're calling for Moyes' head and seemingly in disarray. I must remind him about that conversation at the weekend.

mackem mate of mine also says he's a good signing for us which is quite surprising from him as he's usually one of those who tries to paint everything NUFC do in a bad light. My mate is usually very fair and honest in his assessment, but still good to hear he rates him.
