I don't think he's of the level of someone like Bruno or Isak who will lift the team to another level in their position. I think he's very good, but he's not the sort of signing that would be devastating to miss out on. This is also assuming that we have a list of similarly good players we can move onto if he doesn't sign
-
I think he'd be a really good signing for us, but if he doesn't want to come, fuck him and move onto the next player on the list
-
Yeah we definitely did a couple of years ago, not sure if we still do. Tbf though they work with loads of clubs

Found this interesting from The Transfer Flow newsletter a couple of weeks ago. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder: Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno
-
Weren't they the biggest overachievers last season in terms of expected goal difference / expected points? No team repeats that for 2 seasons running, it's just not sustainable. I'd be amazed if they're anywhere near challenging top 4/5 next season
-
Said it before and I'll say it again, £40m for Quansah is daylight robbery. He's bang average and thick as mince
-
Yeah his passing numbers are really poor. If it's a Schar upgrade/replacement we're after, this guy isn't really it, he's more of an aerial beast at CB
-
This thread is absolutely minging. Can we actually save it for transfer rumours?
-
I've seen absolutely zero evidence to justify Quansah being worth £40m. Looks really indecisive every time I see him play
-
This guy's nickname has to be Jenny, otherwise there's something wrong with Spanish people
-
Yep, the fact they're spending £116m on someone unproven in the PL means any starting point for Isak should be about £130m
-
Agree, don't think he would be a good signing at all, especially considering how much we'd have to pay
-
Yes, every team in the PL has a large data team now
-
Think Kudus would be a poor signing at the rumoured £50-60m
-
Bakayoko wasn't getting a game ahead of 36 year old Ivan Perisic at the end of last season. I think I'd rather go for Elanga at £40-50m than Bakayoko at £25-30m, the Dutch league is shocking
-
I guess there's an argument that we only have Hall as a natural left back, especially if Burn is seen as primarily a centre back, Livramento is likely to be first choice right back next season, and Matt Targett has eczema. Wouldn't be surprised if we brought a left back in, just not at those prices
-
Barcola is absolutely class, would be very surprised if we had any chance of getting him
-
He's not doing it single handedly man, we've got a massive team of analysts, a lot of them will be doing work in identifying players
-
Thames was great. Mishit cross drifts over the keeper into the far corner - "ohhhhhhh that's one for the Franz Carr scrapbook"

The girl from America's opinion is shared by the guy from America who used to work on transfer plans for Premier League and Champions League clubs though tbf. I think Cunha is an excellent player personally, just pointing out that there are people who supposedly know what they're talking about who are saying it's not the slam dunk transfer that most people assume it will be
-
FWIW, the transfer flow (run by the guy who used to own StatsBomb) reckon Cunha to Man Utd won't work out at all and will be another expensive mistake. He's massively over performed his xG this season (to Messi/Ronaldo levels) and is highly unlikely to repeat it next season, and is poor value for money at £60+ million as his profile (statistically speaking) isn't significantly better than Garnacho and Rashford's at Villa
-
Looks like it has that bubble pattern that was mentioned for our home shirt
-
Looks like it still exists, cheers!
