  1. Apparently he's actually undergoing a medical at Leverkusen. Silva was correct, but he meant at another club
  2. If it's an initial loan I'd imagine it would be Delph. Doubt Everton would be willing to loan McCarthy out.

Usually because he's just chucked himself into a crunching tackle though.
  5. It's absolutely comical man. Sammy Ameobi got on the pitch on Saturday for Christ's sake.

What's Yakubu up to these days?
  7. Swapping Townsend for Downing? Mental.
  8. Their agents will though.
  9. And bailed out for Palace, slapped Rafa in the face, we brought him back to life. f*** him ..not wanted or needed
  10. http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1402809.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/Paul-Merson-on-Sky-Sports.jpg Where's the most punchable faces in the media thread gone?
  11. I thought he was an all-round great guy who helped the homeless and stuff?
  12. Transfer market is absolutely mental at the minute. £20m+ for Tom Cairney and Callum Wilson ffs.
  13. The sort of manager who needs to hit the ground running, otherwise the usual morons in the media will be calling for him to be sacked and criticising Hull for not appointing Neil Warnock.
  14. So fucking obvious. They were probably sat there thinking 'let's give them a little bit of information, but not too much, we don't want everyone guessing straight away.'

Fat Sam's head killed me when I first scrolled down and saw it.
  16. Surely everyone who has managed Colback must have told him not to give away needless free kicks in dangerous positions, whether that be on the edge of the box or out wide when a player has his back to him. It's blatantly obvious to everyone who watches him for only a couple of games that he does it far far too often. I simply refuse to believe that our previous managers (including Pardew) didn't notice it and tell him to stop doing it, Benitez would certainly have told him, yet he still does it over and over again. The only conclusion is that he's completely stupid beyond belief and is just blatantly ignoring instructions from the manager. He's obviously got away with doing it under our last few managers, but I'm hoping his quick substitution yesterday means that Rafa is not going to forgive and that's the end of him.
  17. Hope he isn't on good terms with Mapou and Remy Don't Montpellier particularly hate us after M'biwa and Cabella? Yep, their president hates us and I can't imagine those 2 players have much good to say about the club from their time here.
  18. Hope he isn't on good terms with Mapou and Remy
  19. They could do with some more solidity in their team. Particularly lacking in central midfielders.
  20. Could Snodgrass play as a number 10? He has a lot of the attributes to play there but not sure if he ever has?
  21. I know it shouldn't come into it, but I think the fact that everyone could see we got completely screwed over by the ref in that game played a part in it being overturned. Like you say, based on the incident alone it shouldn't be overturned because he did kick out.
  22. Set up perfectly for a new addition to the Pardew list of excuses. Surprised he let us down.

I would happily take second place if it meant Chris Hughton smacking Pardew upside the head with the championship trophy as he slopes off to the job centre. I genuinely don't get the hype about Pickford. Admittedly I've only seen him in a full match once when they were being dry-bummed by Arsenal, but he was mediocre at best and a rabbit-in-the-headlights flustered mess at worst. The fact the mackems are bandying around a price second only to Buffon is the true definition of delusion. Moyes is looking increasingly like a man who has been sold a pup. Publicly declaring a relegation battle 2 (TWO!) games into the season, and loudly mithering his lack of funds a month early, these are not the signs of a confident set up. I wonder if he could have done better for their goal last night - decent strike but by no means unstoppable from that position? Also spilled/parried a couple of their efforts back into the danger area that a half decent keeper would have held on to. Seems to do occasional Hollywood stuff which catches the eye but lacks in the basics. Only seen one replay of it from behind the goal but didn't the shot pretty much start just outside the post and bend inside it? Pretty tough to stop.
