I've been cut off from football for a long time now, I jacked my season ticket in 2009 and then it's been a gradual decline until I reached the point where for the last 3 or 4 years I haven't even known when or who we were playing. I couldn't stand by and watch Ashley bleed the soul from my home town club, a sporting institution that no longer saw sporting achievement as a main priority. A club that existed to scrape by doing the bare minimum. The thought of being able to get back into supporting the club properly seems pretty surreal at the moment. That passion and expectation and believing in a club that competed to be the best it could be, whatever level that is. It'd be amazing to have that feeling back.

Thumbhead represents everything that has been despicable about the Ashley era. An arse licking yes man, way out his depth, kept in a job because he'll do what he's told, happy sit there and take his salary (a pittance compared to his peer group) whilst the club is stripped to the bone and has its soul torn out. Fuck him. Spineless cunt.

I chatted to one of the production team about it, was at the back end of last year. He said from a ratings point of view it was better that they fucked up both seasons in such spectacular fashion. Would have been far worse from a telly perspective if they’d just bumbled along with no drama. But he’s a makem, so it’s a bitter sweet situation for him.

Donald came across ok. Seems like a genuine gadge, just out of his depth trying to achieve his ambitions for the club. Methven is appalling. Thinks he's a corporate marketing genius but he's just an arrogant, condescending, pompous cunt. Was shocked when Andy with the beard said it was his 40th birthday. Was he taking the piss and he was right first time saying he was 50? It wasn't as funny to watch as series 1. Even though the Wembo calamities were just as sweet as the Burton relegation game.

Fat Mike loves to spice up his boring transfer windows by mugging everyone off with false talk of new owners, that Saudi gadge needs to cause a distraction as the UN want a word with him about fiddling with Bezos phone. Deploy the bi-annual NUFC takeover rumour. Jobsagoodun.

Gough seemed canny, happy to mingle and chat with everyone. Jonny Bairstow was there too last night and got a duck today. Whoops.
-
Talksport is also being broadcast from a pub in Headingly today so that might explain a lot too. There were a few former Leeds players at the dinner, so he’s spent last night on the lash with footballers but I’m not sure why any of them would have emails with inside info on the sale of NUFC

I was at a charity dinner in Harrogate with Darren Gough last night. He was well served, probably still half cut today and chatting utter shite on the radio

A sky stadium floating above Eldon sq. with golden escalators. Is it feasible that a sky stadium would float so high that it'd leave the atmosphere ?

Their Checkatrade final crack is like an ex-lass going on about how mint her new fella is and how she can’t wait to scuttle him and how amazing it will be and won’t you be gutted when he’s balls deep in her. But her new fella is David Charlton from that Strangeways documentary.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
bobbydazzla replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Why’s Ashley got such a massive stiffy for Debenhams, willing to step down as CEO of Sports Direct to force himself onto the Debenhams board. I know he’s got 30% of the shares, but it’s a shite department store with very little going for it. Can’t see how he thinks he can turn it around, or what his other agendas may be. -

That summary also applies to Chronicle journalists too.
