  1. And as a nod to the historical importance of the terrace the SAM’s could be launched out of a blunderbuss that’s fired by the beadle from the parish workhouse
  2. I know someone who’s out there working on it at Director level so get regular updates and they send me photos of what’s happening on sites It’s wild to see it, when I show the on-site pics to my pals who work over here in civils or construction they’re blown away by the progress, scale and ambition
  3. If you spend the extra lowey to watch the game from a corporate sofa you get to leave the ground by riding on the back of a dolphin
  4. The Saudi PIF are spending $500 BILLION on NEOM, creating an entire city from scratch and throwing up some enormous and technically challenging buildings, the likes of which the world has never ever seen before What they’re doing is mindblowing to people who work in architecture, construction and civil engineering Yet apparently PIF would be unable to find a solution to a 40m elevation difference at the Arena site Now I’m not saying we’re moving to the Arena, but I am saying that building a new stadium for NUFC would be like pissing around with a kids Lego set for these lot
  5. During the reign of Emperor Mogga, a few of us on here said that they played decent football, knocked it about nicely and were showing some promise Then they drew us in the cup and decided to repeatedly smash themselves in the bollocks with a brick
  6. Ramsdale when the camera panned in
  7. They think Colin Wanker’s on his way from Aberdeen in a red n white Jewk and he’s the managerial defibrillator who’ll perform emergency CPR on their seyson
  8. Phone obsessed cunts in the stands Lad in white top behind goal, filming the pelanty, doesn’t even react when it goes in, just checks his screen
  9. Man Utd have been dog shit so far, they’re minging Making Everton look like Real Madrid
  10. Just casually dropping this in here for all the BRICK BY BRICK haterz
  11. It's a short walk down from the "city centre" The Arena been an established entertainment venue for 30 years with billions of millions of people going to events there From what I understand it's not even a viable site for NUFC, as there are other plans for the site. But for people to say it's unsuitable as a location for a football stadium due to the logistics of the location is nuts
  12. Ranulph Fiennes currently plotting how he can be the first human to take on the epic journey from The Beehive to the Sven Adult Books Arena, without the use of dog sleds or oxygen tanks Norris McSquirter will be waiting outside the new stadium to verify the record. Billions around the world tune in on a Facebook Livestream to watch mankind achieve the unachievable
  13. People talking about the Arena site like it’s on top of the Cheviot and getting there on foot would be a feat of human endeavour compared to strolling to SJP. Ooooh. How could I have a pint at Rosie’s if I’ve got to put my mountaineering kit on and trek all the way down to the Arena. Will there be Sherpa’s to guide the way ? Regardless of whether it’s a viable site for a football stadium or not, it’s still a large city centre site, close to transport links and a plethora of peeve & bait options
  14. Sad indictment of the modern times when people are making a short stroll to the Arena site feel like it’s a trek over the Andes
  15. 40,000 gets proudly announced on the tannoy Leicester immediately start singing about empty seats The makems are utter fuckwits ABSOLEWT FEWLS
  16. As a reference point on how valuable non-footy events could be, Fender's 2 x SJP gigs generated an estimated £15m for the Newcastle economy
  17. I thought Beamish had already baggsied taking Leazers Terrace when it gets relocated, there’ll be absolute Victorian-era hell on if they’ve been gazumped The Friends of Leazers Terrace Chair will be getting whipped with a birch and forced to work as a pit pony
  18. If you’re Dan Ashworth why even do that and open yourself up to a potential court case that could ruin your reputation Meeting them whilst on gardening leave immediately gives NUFC reason to investigate and the onus would be on Ashworth and Man Utd to prove nothing happened If he doesn’t meet or contact them, he has nothing to worry about
  19. An injunction to stop him doing work for them whilst still employed by us Damages if we can prove he caused us to lose out commercially His reputation being ruined in the football industry
  20. If we were to encourage younger supporters into the ground they absolutely have to be able to gather together in large numbers An 18 year old won't achieve much atmosphere by winning a single ticket in a ballot and getting told to shut up and sit down by miserable old codgers who've sat in the same seat for 30 years
  21. It's employment law that he'd be breaching by working for them whilst on gardening leave. Man Utd would have to prove to a judge that Ashworth didn't breach his covenants and we'd have to prove that he did. It'd be our lawyers vs their lawyers in a court, nothing the FA could do about that.
  22. I agree completely with your theory. But then you watch a Man City game and it's so quiet you can hear the players shouting to each other. And the giant LED boards and flashing LED stairs constantly distract your eyesight from the pitch. And the announcer shouting players names as they get off the team bus makes you cringe. And the Tunnel Club just feels daft, watching players line up from behind the glass like they're animals in a zoo. But the tourists still lap it up in their front row seats, filming it all on their phones whilst sitting in silence proudly wearing their 1/2 & 1/2 Manchester derby scarves.
