Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
bobbydazzla replied to a topic in Football
Apparently we rang up Heaton Stannington to offer him on a free, but they were laughing like hyenas cos he’s not good enough to get a game for them. They couldn't actually get their words out so had to put the phone down and send a fax to tell us to fuck off. -

Two in the pink, one in the stink -
I'm happy to shop in the Costcutter yellow sticker whoopsie aisle
-
Me and @Froggy aren't arguing, we're flirting. Surprised you couldn't sense the sexual tension in the air.
-
1 - you go down Costcutrer and buy a basket full of yellow sticker whoopsie aisle items and see if you can make a profit on them, let us know how you get on yeah 2 - how many non-academy players have you sold for a profit or break even in the last 5 years ? 3 - £700m in 5 years when you’ve spent next to nowt for a decade is just playing catch up.
-
We were shopping in the yellow sticker whoopsie aisle for a decade until 2021. Hard to make a profit on that. And since then we’ve had to build a squad of top flight footballers whilst under snide PSR rules, so flipping loads of players wasn’t going to be in our short term plan. And you think selling Garnacho for £40m and making losses on Antony and all the other big bucks shite justifies your £200m spend last window, right after Ten Hag spent £200m on shite in his last window ?
-
Aye, but we sold Isak for £130m in the summer. Double what we paid for him and set a new PL transfer record. When’s the last time your lot sold a player and made a sizeable profit versus their purchase price ? Yet you can still spend megabucks on players who flop, time and time again. Man Utd’s incoming transfers are like doing your weekly trolley shop at Harrods. Man Utd’s outgoing transfers are like the yellow sticker whoopsie aisle in Costcutter.

Go and see Gypsy Rose Lee in the caravan at top of the Bigg Market. She can see into the future and has all the answers.

So if he's great on the break and running with ball and provides great service when supplying a big man up front, why do you say that makes him a "braindead awful footballer" ? He might be a one dimensional player who doesn't fit how we play. But according to Forest fans who know him better than us, he's not awful. Or braindead. You did get it right that he's a footballer though, I'll give you credit for that.

If I can't get in The Corner I'll generally choose a spot in the ground where I know I can stand without some cunt moaning at me. Even last night, I was second back row and had a bairn aged about 10ish directly behind me. I'm tall so I turned and asked him if he could still see if I stood and he said "aye, definitely, all good" and I immediately thought that I liked this kid, not in a noncey way obviously. There was at least 15-20 of us standing and if you look round the ground at the back row of blocks, you'll see loads of other people stood up. The appetite is there, but the club seem dead set on not bringing in more rails. It's ridiculous.
-
So his experience of Luton away playing for Forest, is pretty much what he gets at every home game for NUFC. And also it looks those quotes are from 2024, it was 24/25 when he really came good for Forest, so be interested to know how they viewed him them. My Forest mate, albeit he's a one of one survey, loved Elanga last season.
-
@Superior Acuña you can't gauge the general atmosphere of the ground and definitely not the noise from the away end from The Corner, it's in its own little bubble. There's loads of parts of the ground where you can't really hear the away fans even if they're in full voice all game. I was back of Leazers East corner last night and never heard anything from the away end, as soon as I left the ground they were deafening because the sound carries over the East Stand, not into it. Whereas against Leeds I was lower down in the same spot and all I could hear was Leeds songs, they were loud and relentless and the sound carried to where I was, because I wasn't under the East Stand roof.
-
It matters a lot and is absolutely relevant because it shows he's not an "awful braindead footballer" He's just having a shit time here.
-
Said it at the time, but the ST's I was was sat next to for Palace were the worst type of ST, proper scum of the earth. Sneered at a lad singing and called him a day tripper. When the lass sat next to them got to her seat the first question they asked was "you don't normally sit here, how much did you pay for your ticket". And they then did nowt but yap about their moneyed lives for the entire 90 mins. Even continuing to yap as we were surging into the box on a counter. Cunts need banning.
-
You spoken to any Forest fans about him ?
-
It's not just the cunts leaving early when the game is the balance but the inevitable chorus of "see yiz next time" and handshakes and back pats as they depart. There should be no "next time" for these fucking arseholes. They stayed for 14 years of Ashley and wear that badge of honour with pride, celebrating their own loyalty and stoicism. But they can't stay till the final whistle for a cup semi final when we're 1 nowt down and desperate for an equaliser. I'd ban the cunts for life. They probably all wear Sketchers, listen to Coldplay and laugh at Michael McIntyre's jokes. Subhuman scum.
-
If me nanna had bollocks she'd be me cousin Plenty players moved for bigger money than Elanga and are doing shite. Isak for £130m looks like the worst signing in history, for example. Chelsea paid £90m for Mudryk a couple of seasons ago and he's been shite, has now been suspended for over a year and is then likely to be banned for being on gear. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
-
We’re doing the job of the opposition fans for them. Intimidating our own player with negativity, jeers and criticism. But the daft cunts in the ground haven’t figured that out. I hope he leaves and does a Chris Wood and excels at a new club. Maybe the fucking dippits in the ground might realise that there’s a trend, although I doubt it.
-
Aye, 100% this. Unless I’m in The Corner then most seats I’ve had are next to absolute whoppers, the clinically depressed or the silent majority. And I’ve been everywhere in the ground recently other than Milburn L7. Last night I was with a decent little crew, including a youngin of about 9 or 10 who was fully engaged in the match and properly supporting the team. Which warmed my cockles. But it’s a rarity to get a crew like that.
-
Season Ticket culture at clubs with high demand for tickets, really has had a big negative impact on football fan culture and allowing wider access to football games. It’s just lead to the same faces, in the same seats, getting older and older with every season that passes. And those same people getting all the away tickets. At clubs that know they can sell out game by game, or get close to sell out, it adds absolutely nothing financially to have the majority of a stadium taken up by Season Tickets who are effectively blocking new blood from getting into the stands for decades. And I don’t know about other clubs policies on this, but our Season Tickets are now treated like family heirlooms, getting passed down to family or friends when nanna gets too old to go anymore. Which feels wrong to me.
-
As I said previously, I was in back of Leazers East Corner Couldn’t hear anything from Strawberry Corner Couldn’t hear anything from the away fans Couldn’t even see the away fans Only time I heard the away fans was walking back towards Trent House after the match when they were very loud and clear with their songs travelling over the top of East Stand The design of SJP really is incredibly shite for acoustics
-
Back of Leazes East Corner was fine. Couldn't really tell what the rest of ground was like, which maybe says a lot. Overall the feeling and noise in and outside the ground was a world away from the incredible excitement and hullabaloo of the Arsenal semi. Maybe people can’t be arsed to get behind the team for a semi final unless the club tells them beforehand via email and social media that they should be arsed to get behind the team because it’s a semi final.
