there should definitely be a way in which an international member can secure tickets for a couple of games per season a few months before the game takes place so they can book travel, accommodation and plan the trip to the city well in advance of the game In principle it’s similar to how they’ll happily sell hospitality tickets months in advance (at daft prices obvz)
-
honestly, I’m not intending to offend. I have more respect for someone like yourself than the sizeable section of entitled season ticket holders who go to every game just to piss and moan and scream abuse at our players But I just don’t think a domestic membership scheme should be tailored to suit an international audience I’d be 100% in favour of an international scheme that made it easier for someone like yourself to get tickets on the occasions when you’re able to be here. You deserve it for the effort you’re willing to put in to attend a game

that was the match atmosphere workshop and some absolute doylem suggested zorbing on pitch at half time

This cunt not accidentally sliced through the electricity cord on his Flymo yet

Problem in 22/23 was that the club didn’t communicate that they were closing the membership scheme, it just happened out of the blue If they say we’ll sell unlimited memberships but you can only buy one in July & Aug cos after that it’s closed, that’s a different kettle of fish And absolutely no offence intended, but I don’t think the club should base their membership scheme decisions on international supporters who may be able to travel over and attend a game or two per season If there’s high demand from overseas then give them their own scheme, separate from people who can get to plenty of games. But it’d need to be policed to stop touts

Musn’t help Sean (or any other player who’s putting in an honest shift) that a sizeable amount of idiots in the ground have an agenda to call them worse than shite as soon as the ref blows for kick off. Last season I sat in front row of Leazers and the bloke next to me did nowt but shout abuse at Sean all game. What’s the fucking point man.

My nanna used to say she babysat the drummer of The Animals when he was a bairn But she was also a notorious bullshitter so who knows She was adamant one of my relatives discovered the North Pole, which was utter bollocks

Seems like the accusations were from one woman and were false So unless we hear otherwise, you’re fine to continue to backcomb your hair and mope around your black walled bedroom listening to Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

He’s a QPR fan innit, but maybe we’re his 2nd team and he has inbetween days

James "Shagger" Trafford: Transfer from Burnley "pretty much done" (Edwards)
bobbydazzla replied to 54's topic in Football
I thought Targett was good on loan, a solid full back who did his job well. Since signing it’s the injuries that have scuppered him, not his ability And we’ve been so unlucky with injuries that I don’t think we can include that in our assessment of our signings. We haven’t taken risks signing someone with an injury history that looks like Wilson’s for example Tonali situation was unprecedented, based on how it played out I don’t think it can be held against the transfer team as a poor player assessment, but am sure that they’ll have learnt to dig even deeper into a players personal situations when sussing out potential targets Agree that no club will get all their signings right but if most are right that’s great success -

Every signing we’ve made since the takeover plenty of people on here have pissed and moaned about how the player was not good enough / too expensive / surplus to requirements in that position etc And so far the only one that didn’t do it on the pitch was Chris Wood, but he served a purpose, weakened Burnley and was moved on to Forest for a decent fee toot suite Conclusion: Lots of people on here actually know fuck all and the transfer team at NUFC know loads -
That’s the point he’s making £60 for a pipsqueak sized shirt and price doesn’t even include VAT

They also filmed the Adidas promo at King St Clerb when we signed the deal Bruno was asking Fender “is this place a really famous venue for Geordies ?” For those that don’t know, the cricket bat off licence is just over the road from the clerb And the Seventeen Going Under video was filmed on the next street down from the cricket bat off licence And top house and techno DJ’s come from all over the UK to play the upstairs room at King St Clerb #keepitShields
-
If Isak and the Doberman walk a few yards further along that path they get to the street where the Seventeen Going Under video was filmed Shields is basically Hollywood these days
-
It's Heidi Curtis singing in the promo by the way. She's a North Shields lass
-
95% of under 30's who go to the match won't have a clue what that song in the promo is All they've ever heard is the 190BPM makina version being sung at warp speed with incorrect lyrics

No. I'm not asking for a purity test. I don't even know what that means And of course we wouldn't care about tickets getting into the hands of genuine fans rather than touts / tourists / away fans if we didn't sell out every week That's like going into the kit thread and telling them they wouldn't feel the same way about Adidas designs if we were still with Castore

Unlimited memberships available all season isn't a membership though. It's just an entry fee for accessing the ballot and resale I was in Lisbon recently when Sporting played Benfica. Top of the table local derby that would probably decide the title. I'd have loved to have gone and experienced that game Tickets only on sale to members. Memberships were still on sale and I would have bought one if it gave me a chance of getting a ticket But the restriction was that you had to have held a membership for 6 months to get a ticket for that game Was that frustrating for me ? Yes. But it meant as a tourist with no allegiance to Sporting I couldn't get a ticket and potentially deprive a genuine Sporting fan from getting to the game NUFC had none of that in place last season. Joao the Sporting fan visiting Newcastle for the weekend had just as much chance of a ticket as Joe the lifelong NUFC fan who applies for every game. As long as they were both willing to pay their £40 membership And the same principle applied to touts, away fans and anyone else who just fancied checking out a game. That's why we need some sort of restriction, not to limit tickets to a select few thousand members And I bought multiple tickets for every home game last season, so I'll be fine if they keep the same system. I don't have an agenda in trying to increase my chances
-
you sell a “membership” that is really just a £40 tax to allow absolutely anyone (fan, tout, tourist who’s visiting the city, away fan etc) to join at any point in the season and to all have a completely equal chance of buying a ticket for any game in general sale for what reason exactly ?
-
They could sell unlimited memberships June to end of July then close it. Open it again Dec to end of Jan for any more who want to sign up You don’t buy a membership in the windows then you miss out on going to games Won’t stop the touts, but might limit their interest in taking a punt Means we have a finite number of people able to buy tickets for each 1/2 of the season and club could be open about how many people hold memberships in that period Which allows the rest of us to have some sense as to what we’re up against in terms of membership numbers competing for tickets Offering unlimited memberships all season long isn’t a “membership” it’s just a general sale but with an entry fee to generate extra bunce for the club

Ashley was the type of owner the Top 6 and Premier League love His stated aim was that we wouldn’t ever be competitive Determined to scrape by, doing the bare minimum, kowtowing to the Top 6, happy to take the telly cash and the free ads for his shitty stores THE CUNT
-
Everything about FFP is designed to be a Catch 22 for anyone outside of the Top 6 To compete against the established Top 6 you need to have wealthy owners who can invest, for wealthy owners to be allowed to invest you need to increase your commercial revenue, but to increase your commercial revenue you need to be able to compete against the established Top 6, which you can't do unless your wealthy owners are allowed to invest
