  1. I refuse to believe that story, purely on the grounds that surely no one could be stupid enough to put Joe Kinnear in charge of negotiating fees
  2. I do wonder, had Tiote been playing, whether that first goal would even happen. Santon's inability to get back goal side, which would have only taken a tiny bit of effort, cost us that goal in my opinion. I feel if he wasn't going to play left back then he should have been in one of the wide roles like people thought he would be pre-match. He could have helped double up on Hazard, instead of having Hatem doing that job.
  3. Tottenham's pace will be too much for us. Also if Altidore can boss Williamson and Taylor then I dread what Adebayor will do to them.
  4. May have been Bent instead of Remy, considering Bent cost about £3m and Remy supposedly cost us around £2m. Was perhaps one or the other knowing our transfer strategy.
  5. Swear some people base opinions of players on their last game and just forget everything that came before.
  6. Fulham played that spot on. I just fear for them now Richardson fucked up what should have been a guaranteed 0:2
  7. Far more likely to lose all of those to be honest.
  8. Why are fulham not playing their new £12m striker?

    Sammy Ameobi

Just looks like he lacks that final end product. Like a lot of our players at the moment, Sissoko and even Ben Arfa. Which is probably why we're are struggling so much to score goals. We need Remy back as soon as possible.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Yeah Ben Arfa's movement has always been a problem from the whole time I've watched him with us. It's why it was so surprising when he popped up with that goal away to Villa. Would never normally expect him to be in the box, usually hangs around just outside waiting for the ball to bounce out. I thought, like many, that was the start of a change from him. But then the Hull game happened and it all turned to shit for him, in terms of this season. Annoyingly he is one of our fastest players when he wants to sprint, even in his current bulkier state. So if we had him, Remy, Gouffran and Sissoko all making powerful fast movements we'd have a fantastic, fluid attack. Unfortunately Remy is the only one who seems to make effective runs and I believe AGAIN this is likely down to poor coaching once more.
  11. This is all bollocks. Sissoko has shown plenty of times his qualities. He's shown with some of his goals he's got a decent strike on the rare occasions he gets it right. He has good dribbling skills, nutmegs opponents atleast once a game and can power away from people. Passing - When he first arrived he showed some excellent passing and when he plays a deeper role he has played a calmer, better passing game. Obviously he is a tremendous athlete and this is probably what Pardew loves the most. He can get forward but also tracks back well. His problems are his composure. He probably gets into goal scoring positions more than anyone else in our team through his speed and willingness to break forward. But he often panics or doesn't know what to do with it which leads to bad control or bad decision making. His finishing is a big weakness that he needs to work on. He was obviously told to be the man yesterday by giving him the captain's armband and this led to some erratic and poor shooting from long range. Perhaps one of our players with the best potential. Let's not write him off and associate him with Amdy Faye when Faye couldn't dream of producing some of the performances Sissoko has for us this season. People have short memories.
  12. Colo will probably be back soon and then it will be him and Williamson until the end of the season. Then Colo will leave and Mbiwa will probably be pushed into a starting role next season, where we could have been giving him important experience for the rest of this.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

It's a bit annoying. He shows brilliance to almost always manoeuvre a position to get a shot away but he seems to be lacking the composure with his shooting.

    Sunderland

Aren't those types of reds only 1 game normally? So add on the extra game and it should only be two. Still ridiculous that would be a 1 game ban offence normally and Remy gets three

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Was never really going to be anything else. We were bossed today by a far better team, especially with that weak as piss squad depth we have. He had to track back almost the entire time to help defend. Created a few good openings for himself in the first half but let down by his shooting once again.
  16. Before he gets slated. He barely touched Hazard for that yellow card and that pen was as much won by Eto'o as it was given away by Mbiwa. Not to mention the fact most ref's would never give that. We certainly wouldn't get that if it was the other way.
  17. Really can't understand the decision to play Santon in that position. Surely there were other alternatives and line-ups he could have gone for.
  18. Hate how the commentators never mention the fact Chelsea's midfield alone cost around £100m+. Willian - £30m+, Hazard - £30m+, Oscar £25m?, Matic - £20m I know it doesn't change anything but it's a factor worth mentioning. Especially when they almost sound like they are patronising us with stuff like "oh well done newcastle they have won a corner here"
  19. Michael Owen, expert on all things Newcastle.
  20. So Mourinho has a unbeaten record at home with Chelsea since his first spell back in 2004 and some people believe we could go there and win with this sorry excuse of a squad? I mean even if we were full strength I'd still think you were a little crazy if you thought we could win but with Cabaye gone, the injuries, suspensions and all round misery surrounding the club at the moment I just cannot believe anyone would genuinely believe we can go there and win.
  21. That figure for how much was spent in January 2013 goes up every single time Think originally it was Llambias who stated it was around £20m, which we all laughed off then and it's just kept going up since and is now £33m
  22. Chances of getting a decent owner are incredibly slim. Especially the way football is going these days.
