Can't make up my mind if he was crap today or if he was just totally let down by Ben Arfa. Probably a combination of the two but I do feel he should stick to his position a bit more. Let the midfield deal with the guys in the center rather than leaving your area of the pitch when you know you have our most attacking player infront of you likely not covering.

Dangerously missed by the club this season was the fact we needed another striker not just as cover for Cisse but also to possibly replace him as he's been out of form for quite some time now.

Not going to stress and panic too much today. There was some good things and some very poor things, but I think it was a good reality check for the team and some of our fans. This is still the same team pretty much that finished 16th last year. We have a fair few weak areas to our game. When Ben Arfa is off colour it affects us alot. I think u can put today down to too many players not being quite at it which cost us goals (Ben arfa,debuchy)

Yep, showed why he's not at the top level yet as he can still lack consistency. Feared this might happen with all the attention on him but despite his poor game it still opened up space for Remy. Think he'll find it easier away from home when he's not being doubled up on, but I think today he was just simply off colour.

Got a bit shaky and basketball-like for awhile there. We need to calm down and control the game a bit more. Their only threat really is the pace in behind so we're sort of playing to their strengths. Although I suppose it suits us too and I'd back us to out score them with our front players. Especially with Remy gobbling up everything that spills his way. Promising that Ben Arfa hasn't even been involved so far. Hopefully he gets into it more 2nd half although it's afforded space for everyone else him having 2 men on him.

All MOTD had to do was show the time he burned down the outside and put a really dangerous cross in with his right in the same game to dispel that stupid bit of punditry. As for this game, I'm always confident when we have a fit and firing Ben Arfa in the team. Like most teams when you have a top player he should be the difference between the two sides.

Is it wrong I'm still worried they may beat us with Di Canio in charge? He totally bossed Pardew last season mentally. We do look much better though in the last few games and hopefully we have build up a bit of momentum going into the game this time. I do think last season we were either tired mentally from the Benfica game (Pardew) or we were too arrogant and thought we could stroll the game and came up against a team with a new manager bounce where every shot seemed to fly in. Could have been different had Cisse's goal been allowed to make it 1:1
