Ignoring the obvious fabrication of that link. They would be demanding atleast £100m for Leao in this market.

I liked the roar Osula got when he came on. Everyone is wishing him to do well.
-
I convinced myself he was playing injured ever since he missed that Liverpool away league game. Yeah perhaps I've given him too much credit. If he leaves I will be remembering that he is brittle as fuck and was very rarely seemingly 100% fit. It's just when he is I've not seen many better in a black and white shirt.

I'm saying that Liverpool / Arsenal were coveting him last year. I'm not downplaying Howe and the clubs ability to grow players and make them more than their worth. However in my opinion, players like Isak are a rare breed and you can tell the difference between those types and the regular players. Ekitike had that potential in him like Isak did when we signed him. But I don't see it in the likes of Strand-Larsen. Howe would no doubt make him functional and useful for the team. He may even save our season if he joins. But he has a ceiling I feel. And we would be looking for an upgrade fairly quickly.

In regards the Wilson replacement, I feel perhaps the club have been too ambitious and could have landed someone alot sooner if they had considered the criteria more. Wilson contributed 0 league goals last season. He could barely move when he did play. I feel like we just need someone who knows the position and can give the team better structure. Abit like Chris Wood did during his time. Didn't get the goals but allowed the team to function better. Someone with more experience than Osula. Earlier in the summer Wissa for around £30m seemed perfect. But that ship seems to have sailed now they want double that. We aren't going to be able to replace Isak with anyone currently available. But it shouldn't mean we blow any future sale money on players we won't ever get that money back from and that won't take us forward as a club. So I agree with others that we have to take a chance on some potential from Europe and don't blow our PSR and just get some one who can play the position and then hopefully maybe Isak does play again this year or we have better options to spend on in January or next summer. It's shit and no solution is particularly positive I realise that.

That's the mental gymnastics I'm talking about. We are not better off without Isak and with those two instead we just simply aren't. We are better than current us with Isak on strike and no fit forward other than Osula now, but we do t know for certain yet if Isak 100% won't play if the window shuts.
-
Some mental gymnastics going on here a little I think. I get it as it's the only way to cope with a shit situation. But like it or not Isak was a difference maker and was the key to us over achieving and mixing it with the top 5. Unfortunately Wissa and/or Strand-Larsen doesn't do that. Sure they will help us, but Isak was something different, he was the striker all the teams ahead of us want in their team. Unfortunately he turned out to be a collosal dick who decided to drop us in the shit rather than giving us time to and secrecy to get our business done in preparation for his eventual move.

The physio was definitely working on his shoulder it seemed, looked like he was about to pop it back in when the camera cut away and then we never saw what happened. I took a similar impact to my elbow at five a side and it hurt like fuck and couldnt bend or move my arm for a good few days. Hopefully it's something similar. Hopefully our players won't be exaggerating contract and throwing themselves forcefully to the ground in future if we're gonna dive, atleast do it without injuring ourselves.

When Howe said something like.... "I've been giving all my energy to the players that want to play for Newcastle" it was a telling slip of the mask for me despite his calm polite demeanor. I think he's done with Isak and would love to call out his despicable behaviour for what it is. But he's too professional for that and until he's officially gone he is being as diplomatic as he can.

Lol.. back to the house move chain we thought would resolve the situation with Ouattara.
-
Yeah good performance from him. Puts in a massive shift always. So much better when he drives forward with the ball rather than being timid and passing. Also always our last line of defense due to his pace.

Just a season impacting night. Was the last thing I wanted. Knew a defeat was likely but wanted us to get through unscathed and move on to the next with no suspensions etc. To lose potentially 4 first teamers all in one game to set us up for a repeat of the injury bullshit we suffered last time we were in the champions league is just an absolute sickener. Tonali is irreplaceable now. The late goal was just an inevitable kick to the nads that we all come to expect against that scum. 4 fucking shots on target and 3 goals against us yet again. Just the jammiest of jammy fucks every single time we play them in the league.
-
They only showed it once but did he get injured throwing himself to the ground or did Ekitike actually throw him down? Seemed slightly self inflicted? Either way he's our best player now, especially as twatface is missing . Cannot afford to lose him, would be just our luck that two champions league campaigns in a row we lose Tonali.
-
Fuck off was the 3rd his fault. It was 4 Vs 3 because the midfield got taken out the game by pressing too aggressive.
-
Can't remember the last time he had a poor game. Just a monster for us for some time now.
-
Please don't be a dislocated shoulder. That's a 3 month job isn't it? He was great before he injury.
-
How can the players welcome him back after that? Yes we are fucking desperate as fuck now and almost have no choice. But the way every player busted a gut for the team tonight and fought for the shirt and badge and put everything they had I to the game. To know our so called best player refuses to play with them because he wants to join the team we just outplayed. It's just such a shit situation.
-
Big Joe looked like a torn thigh or something. Looked like he knew it was a really bad one. Tonali looked like he popped his shoulder out but played one one armed for about ten mins. Schar went off with concussion sub so will be forced to sit out the next game I think.
-
Couldn't have gone worse in terms of long term. Gordon banned, 3 first time injuries two look serious and concussion protocol now for Schar. Performance was top however. Team deserved so much more. Liverpool with 4 fucking shots on target and 3 goals yet again. Every single time against them. It's always them all our bad luck hits when we play in the league. They are fucking scum.
-
It's the best he has played upfront really. His link play was good just lacking that killer instinct as usual. But threw away any positives by being stupid. Literally everyone knew we needed to channel the enthusiasm and not get a silly red tonight and he did exactly what they wanted him to do.
-
He's a good athletic combative midfielder like. Just cus he's not a right back, doesn't automatically mean Barnes will get the better of him 1v1. Especially as that's not his best asset really either rits cutting in and shooting. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets hooked for Ramsey at half time however now we are down to ten.
-
Even when he was running I was thinking what's the point, save your energy. Then he goes to do VVD. Fucking idiot. Was having a good game aswell til then.
-
Shame Gravenberch is back. Crucial for them really from a defensive point of view.

Think it's Pards in his first game
