Butt wasn't playing. got me concerned now, wat happens when butt is fit because he is "captain" does he go straight back into the side?
-
No idea on this one, to be honest. It probably doesn't make any appreciable difference whether we have H&C or Kinnear. Except with Kinnear we would be waiting for him to keel over at any moment. Maybe we would do better with transfers with Kinnear, but I can't see us making many of those anyway with the ownership situation unresolved. R.taylor, kevin nolan.

dunno if im allowed to post this but fat mike's cameo in the abortion that is goal 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fqxuHfgogg&feature=related

why does michael owen get rewarded after getting relegated with us? i bet aswell after he scores a few tap ins everyone will think hes world class and it was all newcastles fault that he was shit when he was here

News in SA today concerning Blatter refusing to ban vuvuzelas despite complaints from European press and players such as Xabi Alonso..could very well be there next year too! your telling me we have to put up with that noise in the world cup!! ill go insane!!!
-
surprised they wernt asked their opinions on our relegation altho it was probably recored a long time ago
-
interesting about the pairing up thing that keegan apparently looked at, cus the early days of the enrique gutierrez partership showed promise
-
dnt even need to of been in the room to know this is probably exactly how it went down, atleast shearer is staying positive and hasnt just sed fuck this im off! with the news of the club being up for sale.
-
who was number 12 in that video? he looked quality
-
yeah i agree if we go straight back up again we will be like every other club that has gone up and will just look to survive that first season back, but my point was that if we do replace the butts/smiths/owens with upcoming young talent and have a winning mentality and somesort of momentum then we mite be in a better position to survive than we would have if we still had all the old has beens which i believe we would have if we stayed up
-
thats the thing if we go staight back up whatever the team we have is its gunna be better than watever crap we would have had next season if we had stayed up. but it all hinges on this summer and trying to win the league next year. plus we cnt afford to start slowly we need to annoce ourselves in that league as the dominate force or else we could take months to get to grips with it
-
ameobi carroll partnership would be shocking id like to see some pace put into our team next season so from that lineup above id live to see r.taylor, nolan and ameobi replaced with new upcoming players. but i know that will be hard
-
owen coyle in that interview compared to phill brown yesterday
-
Yea being top of the league will be weird. if that actually is the case then next season will be a hell of alot more enjoyable than this season despite what league were in. it wont hurt so much if were winning every week
-
fair points. if we do in someway keep that back 4 plus harper and then with a few others staying duff/guthrie etc i think as crap as they have been in the premiership they would find the championship quite easy but we do need some investment in the center midfield, wings and striking roles. I have a funny feeling xisco may have a big role to play next year and i think he might florish in this league like he did in the spanish 2nd division
-
i think theres a very slim chance we can hang onto that back 4. considerin they were our best back 4 while in the prem so bassong no doubt will leave as teams will take note that he was our "player of the season" alot are aware of s.taylor aswell and alot seem to rate him, i'd be surprised if beye wasnt noticed aswell. enrique i dnt think would get many offers in england even though i personally rate him highly but there will be plently of spanish clubs willing to take him i would think.
-
the only positive for me is if we actually rebuild and use the fact that we are the biggest team down there then we might actually see our team win lots of games and the fans mite enjoy themselves next year despite being on a lower league but its still a NO from me to that poll because we cud have rebuilt this summer anyways even if we wernt relegated
-
what a goal by alexander for millwall asoon as he hit it it was in
-
an arsenal fan i know has his facebook status as, "F*** you arsenal im done with you and F*** you wenger im done with you aswell"
-
i'd rather have that lot than the current side to be honest
-
thats that then all over theres no way wed stay up with 7 points and we may not even get that many

It honestly shocks me that it only took 45 minutes of non-terrible football to make everyone forget exactly what kind of "player" Alan Smith is. I'd bet my life that we'll all be screaming our heads off at him within ten minutes after kickoff. Its 45 minutes more than Nolan has shown. Thats not a compliment, but I'd have started him if Barton and Guthrie aren't fully up to speed. This logic flabbergasts me. Smith has shown about 10 hours more of absolute s*** across the entirety of last season. But it was his first seasion in the pre.......oh wait :-[ haha. i think shearer will have gone with smith because hes been making the right noises and however shit he is he is more likely to give his all than taylor and nolan from what ive seen
