  1. and would have sold 2 DM's in the past 3 seasons for over £100m
  2. Gutted seems strong. We don't play a system that includes a number 10 and he's played predominately as a LW for most of his career. We already have Gordon and Barnes for that role and you could argue based on the last year or two. they are both better more impactful players than Grealish, especially in our system. Add the wages, the alleged unprofessional behaviour, age and the likely fee required to make permanent.

The kinda player I like us being linked to. Realistic transfer fee, modest salary, young, potential to improve. Possibility to break into first 11 etc. Hopefully we get it done. Buoneanotte had glimpses of talent for them aswell when I saw them. Sometimes there is good value in relegated teams. Put players with better talent around them and they can raise their level.
  4. Cannot get onboard with people including the charity (community) shield as a trophy. Seem to remember Arteta doing it last year to try and boost his number of trophies won with Arsenal. Think Pep did it aswell for some weird reason.

    Was this written by ai?
  6. I never liked him. Pretty saw if I looked through old posts I'd hopefully not find anything to contradict that. Used to to think we were doing well in spite of him and not because of him in the 11-12 season. I was also a Ben Arfa fanboy back then so was probably natural to be anti pards when he kept him on the bench for half a season.

    Wasn't Osula like £10m? I think I he's got a lot of good attributes and raw potential and as a 3rd choice striker/back up winger he's useful. As a 1st choice...definitely not .

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Jesus Christ. Surely this is a wind up post and I missed the joke? We just played two friendlies and in both 11's had to have Ashby and Targett playing out of position in midfield to make up the 3. If that doesn't tell you we need more depth in midfield I don't know what does.
  9. I feel like we did the same the season before last and then we spanked Villa 5:1 in that opening game. Things may be different this time around thanks to Isak's bullshit and not having another striker.
  10. My point is, it's how it's reported by the media. The running narrative so far for all these players we are linked with is that we went all in and got gazumped at the last moment by the bigger clubs. Whereas Man U just had fleeting interest and didn't really miss out. Now that could all be true. But it's also possible that sometimes maybe our name has been used just like Manu name can sometimes be used for players that clubs aren't even full negotiating for. The media have the power to run the narrative and we have been an easy target this summer because it seems no one from our side is corrected anything in the press and we have just allowed other clubs to dictate how things have played out in the press. (Isak, Sesko etc.)

Above all else...I'm appreciating these Twitter embeds being a softer dark blue than the eye-raping white blocks that you get when reading on your phone in the dark

If it was Isak + samu or even Wissa + Samu then it wouldn't matter. He just can't be expected to be the Isak replacement as it will kill his development. Similar to Hoijlund at Man U.
  14. Have Bournemouth started shopping yet for the replacements? They lost their whole back 5 more or less this summer. Think I saw they got a GK but not aware of their replacements for others. Who ever they go for we should be stalking and try and do what the cartel do to us. Because their signings have been decent last few years.

I swear to Christ...if spurs come in and nab him once Brentford get Outattara The fact it looks like Richarlison has been playing serious minutes in preseason, the Thomas Frank link, the Champions league club tick, the london club so no relocation needed for his family, MGW failed signing, the Madison injury, Son leaving......

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Saw a brief clip of than Man U fan giving the big I am. The dude who clearly isn't from Manchester and sounds more Brummie or something. Couldn't bare to watch the whole episode with cunts like him and Rory constantly taking over discussions like they know fuck all about football.
  17. Shouldn't be. But perhaps the project is no longer as appealing because those in the know are aware that we are completely hamstrung due to rules and regulations and the project isn't as exciting to the top end CEO's or DOF's. Not that I personally agree with that. I don't think the club has exhausted all options and are playing far too nice and trying to be above board but if they want to mix it with the likes of Chelsea then they need to get their hands dirty.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's essential we get one more midfielder in before the deadline. Not seeing any links at all but really hope the club are aware and trying behind the scenes because we are fucked as soon as one of our main 3 are out.
  19. It was a hypothetical. He said which players would we have been happy to lose. I added in "if they would have gone" because I know the likes of Miggy and others didn't want to go there. But if there was no fmv restrictions and if PIF were trying to do everything to help us. Then those are the players we would have flogged for inflated fees to allow us buy better. However unfortunately FMV is a thing so we can't sell anyone for inflated fees as ASM proved. Plus you need the player to be willing to move there aswell.
  20. The money they have pumped into our current closest rivals Villa is really frustrating however. Not to mention pumping £80m each into 3 of the teams we are trying to close the gap on. As I heard that Stefan guy say on talksport, it suggest separation rather than collusion for us and the Saudi's.
  21. If they would have gone we would have flogged for inflated fees: Miggy, Wilson, Dubravka, Vlachodimos, Targett, Longstaff, Willock etc.

Fuck off is that their next play? "Give us Isak or we'll sign your long term replacement Ekitike." "Actually we still want Isak....give us Isak or we'll take your Wilson back up aswell." Fuck football man I'm done.
  23. I know the narrative from Man U cunts now is giving it the big one that they are massive and we're not etc. But let's look at it another way. By all accounts (just not as loudly shouted about in the media as we were) but they were in for Gyökeres and lost out to Arsenal. They were in for Ekitike but lost out to Liverpool. All the talk was Delap was going to them initially until Chelsea got him. Then they managed to beat us for Sesko. So even though they aren't getting the same ridicule because the press have preferred to run with the narrative that everyone keeps rejecting Newcastle for bigger clubs. But they lost out in alot of deals aswell to "bigger teams" and had to wait til they were up against little old Newcastle to win a race for a player. I don't think others were willing to pay the wages and fee for Mbeumo. Maybe we can finally win a race when we are up against the likes of Bournemouth or something

Is that what every want away player will say now? "Explore his options" Wouldn't have minded Outattara here previously but he's more of a winger than a striker I think.

Agree. but the "powder dry" line always sends a shiver down the back as a reminder of the Ashley era. However it's looking for the first time like it's a relevant stance. It feels like any one we go for now is full "panic-buy" territory.
