How it took him so long to make a change.? Was watching with a non Newcastle fan who hadn't watch us in a long time and they were stunned at how bad we were. They couldnt get over Joelinton and why he was on the pitch. They actually celebrated when we scored but I didn't and I'm supposed to be the fan ?. I'm just numb to it and just said it's not enough. There's never been two easier and winnable games than the ones we just played and we still only took 2 points instead of 6. Atleast Murphy injected some pace but it was too late. There was fuck all in attack really and I thought our only hope of a goal was lascelles from a corner or something as proved. The Brighton game is going to be so much tougher. I've never rated him. Even before all his injury problems but after I thought for sure he was finished, especially after that left wingback performance against Sheff Utd, which was more about the manager than him to be fair. However, far better chance of surviving with him and Manquillo in the side. He's infinitely better than Lewis despite being limited himself. Next step is getting Manquillo back in the team and keep him fit because Krafth is the worst full back in the league. Followed closely by Lewis ?

The only times he looks semi-competent is when he gets the ball under control and uses his height to turn and run with it directly. He's a big lump so he's awkward to get the ball off. But he doesn't do it anywhere near enough. However...the slightest bit of physical contact and he crumbles. He's not the slowest big guy either, as demonstrated by his chance vs west brom. But he neither has the ability, composure or confidence to score or even take a shot. He would actually score alot more if he could just connect with a shot as well. That scuffed left footer was actually a great chance yesterday but simply can't kick a ball with any force. The problem is we have very little else in reserve. Especially as Bruce's is go to tactic is pump it long to him. Plus for some reason we do sometimes seem to get noticeably worse in games when we bring Gayle on, or Murphy etc. Probably more so because the idiot in charge has no idea how to play to their strengths.

Agreed. It's very unfortunate that the damage will likely be done before they are even fit enough to play. Plus how long will it take to get them back up to speed firing on all cylinders. Plus it's easy to forget, Bruce had Wilson and Almiron for all of that really bleak run until Jones came in and the Everton performance. It's consistent with Bruce, doesn't manage returning injured players or the squad well and then bemoans getting injuries like its purely bad luck. This thing about Ashley not wanting to pay out the compo for Bruce if he sacked him. Said before, but why is it always phrased like it's Ashley's personal money. You never hear anything like this at other clubs. If their manager is shit they pay them off and sack them.(probably not as much, as they likely have sensible clauses, unlike the idiot Ashley) But I'm sure everything goes through the club accounts and will likely show as so. Agree with all the shit Edwards gets. But can we stop insulting people for being bald all the time on here? See it all the time.
