I thought this against Cambridge. You would see Trippier play a simple pass into longstaff who would either not read it and make the wrong run or inexplicably miscontrol it and leave everyone out of position. The difference in quality to what Trippier would have been used to must have hit hard during that game. Just seeing him control everything dead was a farcry from what we've become accustomed to. Richie aswell stood out like a sore thumb but he's been thst way for a long time. If Howe can't see basic things like that then it's going to be his downfall.

Yeah we were poorly positioned on the initial pass out wide for their goal. Then everyone is running backwards trying to get in position and no one tracks or covers Cavani. I stand by that it was poor defending. But overall we deserved the win for sure.

I thought the defending for their goal was poor. The team showed great fighting spirit and energy closing down today and were really unlucky. Unfortunately against an awful man utd, we really needed to win this game. We haven't and we have now lost our 2 goal threats for a minimum few weeks. It's all the hallmarks of a relegation season because we just can't seem to hang on in games and win when we need it most.

Schar looked like he was carrying an injury possibly, so I'd expect Lascelles may be in by default.

This ref is showing the classic home bias. Every little decision seems to be going their way so far.

No team around us has a player with his ability. We have to make it count and convert points. Biggest concern is he has been fit all season and hasn't missed a game and yet we're rock bottom.

Not during the Rafa era. He had the same set of players aswell apart from Lejeune. That is the worst part of the horrific Bruce era. Should not need to score 4 at home to win a game. Felt like every single time they attacked it was going to be a goal. You can have all the numbers back that you want but if you're not organised you will leak goals. All 3 were shambolic. Our wingbacks seem to be what costs us the most goals.

U could see the frustration. He couldn't get a hold of the ball and get turned and run at them like he normally does. Palace were wise to him and always doubled up or sometimes 3 or 4. Also our players kept smashing passes into him or over hitting them past him and he grew more and more annoyed as the game went on. I don't think he was throwing a strop or anything to that effect. It simply wasn't his day.

Every point we can scrap for before January is massive.

I really hope Lewis can find some form or a new manager can get him looking competent because Richie should have been moved on years ago. Ideally we can get some results and get some new full backs in January.

Feel like every single time I've seen longstaff he seems to always think he's got more time on the ball than he has. Far too slow of mind for this level of football. Either the coaching team haven't made him aware or he just isn't listening.
