Nice try
Check the replay when you get a chance. Al Habsi makes the save and then starts to spill it when Lovenkrands taps it and it hits the post back to Ameobi. If he wasn't there the goal wouldn't have happened.
I'm not trying to be some Lovekrands super supporter but he gets a lot of unnecessary schtick on here.
Credit where credit's due.
Apart from the twat with the drum! And even he seemed to give up when he realised no-one was joining in with him.
There were a few times when I heard the drum do the "dum dum dum" and it ended with "NEWCASTLE" - our support taking the piss?
As soon as it floated out to the top of the 18 everyone stopped moving except Colo. Wigan didn't know what to do and our lot were in disbelief that it was actually working. It was like everything was in slow motion.
Thought our support were amazing today. It was almost like a home match, I don't think I heard any noise from the Wigan supporters at any point during the match.
Loved during the match the commentators here in America were having a bit of banter talking about Stam and his move to Wigan from a Champions League club. The co-commentator says "Yeah and so did Tiote" then the other guy says "Well I can see moving from FC Twente to Newcastle but FC Twente to Wigan?"
In this clip, Alan Pardew has a lot of Simon from the Inbetweeners. His voice, his mannerisms, there's a lot of similarities: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/9333659.stm
This.
I haven't been this stoked for three points in a long time. We massively needed these points and it would've been a sham had we not gotten them after that performance.
