  1. I can't even see this on TV but the mental image had me
  2. Average is the most definitely the word I'd use to describe these kits.
  3. absolutely shocking. at least we just took part in the best match so far of the world cup.
  4. I've heard/read that crying is a very common thing in North Korea. Was listening to a radio report last night about the documentary that was made about the Korean team that was housed in Boro during the WC and how when they went back they got in a big circle and had a little cry together.

  6. Will be missing this tomorrow but I am sure there will be a few goals in it.
  7. Screamed like a girl when that one went in, fuck Italy - easily the dirtiest team out there and the world cup would be a better place without them. Paraguay really throw themselves at the ball too, it's refreshing watching people actually put their head in front of someone trying to clear from the back.
  8. I've played with the ball and it's not that bad. It plays like normal. I mean, due to the rules there is only a 2oz window for ball weight anyway. It must be the altitude then, because the amount of overhit crosses and passes is just obscene. I'm sounding like a broken record here but it's genuinely annoying me. Could be any number of things that don't really include the actual ball. They could honestly think that the people will be in those positions because at their club the person in that position would've been there or whatever. Lots of mis-communication on the field as well. That could be the horns? Nerves? Who knows. Either way it will hopefully get better after every team plays their first match.

  10. I've enjoyed it, but it has been very underwhelming. I hope it gets better when teams really have to go for it (unfortunately the other side of that coin is that teams will just shut up shop as well). The main problem with the world cup is that it's a bunch of teams with little to no cohesion - they are literally only playing together for very small periods of time. That's why a team like Spain looks so dangerous, because their CMs play together week in/week out. Overall though it's a lot of individuals running around for 90 minutes trying to force stuff to happen.

  12. Would've loved that AC Milan kit as ours.
  13. But Klose grew up as a German Pole and it was his choice to play for Germany. What you're suggesting is that because he was born in Poland he should be forced to play for them. I don't agree with that. As someone said earlier, if I had been born in a foreign country due to parents job, or holiday, and then spent 16 years of my life growing up in England with the view for playing for England ruined due to some Asinine ruling saying I have to play for Austria or someone, I'd be gutted. If you have a duel nationality you should have the choice to play for Country A, B or C. Unless you're suggesting that the German Government and FA have conspired to bribe multinationals to choose Germany over another Nation, in which case I'd like to see some proof. Let's look at it the other way I agree that Ibra should play for Sweden as he was born there, the fact that his parent are from Bosnia shouldn't matter. That's the other side of the coin. But at the same time he might be fiercely proud of his Bosnian heritage and if he should have the option to play for them. Again it falls into the 'If I was born in another Country do to Family being stationed there through work (RAF which nearly happened)' I'd be gutted I couldn't play for England despite being raised as English with an English family in a Foreign country. See: Owen Hargreaves. thats the "alan neilson clause" isn't it. he was born in germany on an RAF or army base and as such could play for germany or any of the 4 home nations. Except that Hargreaves was born and lived in Canada until he was 16 years old.
  14. Can we give Clint Dempsey away? Look at him in Kaizero's avatar, what a tool bag.
  15. Wish this guy reffed more matches. Lovin' the yellows for diving. Would love for him to ref an England game so we can see Gerrard getting yellowed. I also love that Klinsmann uses the word "awesome" all of the time.
  16. Hargreaves? Aye they wanted him as well. Yeah but he's Canadian and playing for England. Pot calling the kettle black and all that.
  17. We should start the "Where does Ozil play next season?" poll ...if he keeps playing like this that is.
  18. US and Australia are hardly on a similar level. Neither are Germany and England. England and Germany are pretty much on a par. Not really. Germany are a much better team.
