Is she the one who seemingly decides when the game will start and leads them all out? Just did it there, right in front of the West Ham players going on about how their manager is about to get sacked. Wish I could see this girl, I've never even noticed her in the background on US tv. She's on the early ESPN2 broadcasts usually, when they are showing the players in the tunnel and stuff.

He can't exactly come out on Twitter and be like "can't wait until I'm a Newcastle player!" now can he? Turned down? Hardly.

There was a fleeting moment when Kaizero was writing that out that he thought about Alan Pardew's cock and how big it may or may not be.

I know we have our fair share of mongs on here but this is easily the least mong-tastic football board I read, it's a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the shit I see out there.

Word on the street is that Don Garber is trying to create a "Rivalry Week" for next season where there are three round-robin style matches in the span of one week between three rivals (Portland, Seattle, Vancouver in this case). I think it's facepalm worthy. Could you imagine getting all of your derbies out of the way in one week? Totally dumb idea.

Harper Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Barton Rouledge Nolan Jonas Shola Best/Loven It's gotta be that for me to at least start with.

If he chooses to play for them for a while then we'll be missing him for the ACN as well.

This is what I would like to see as well.

Can I request a title change so I don't have to start a new 2011 MLS thread to blabbering on in?

That's $200 for the really high end boots. I'm sure it's the same in the UK where you can buy different levels of the same kind of boots. I usually only spend $40 or so on my boots but there are ones that look exactly alike that are in the $200 range because instead of synthetic leather they will have real kangaroo leather or something similar. It still is pretty much a niche market here though, although a lot of the bigger retailers (Dick's, Sports Authority) have growing sections for soccerfootball.

I'd take him for anything under 6m.

I have found scarves to be expensive, along with other gear as well, yes. I paid $35 (CAN) for an Impact scarf when I saw them one year in Montreal. When it comes to kits there are lots of different levels too that you can buy. The two main ones being Authentic (patches, better quality fabric, all of the extras) and just your basic kit which doesn't have the patches or any of the bells and whistles. Price difference is usually around $40 with the Authentic kit (no names/numbers) being $110 total.

Can't say i've ever seen him but i've heard his name quite a bit, he is supposed to be quite good isn't he? He always stood out when I saw the Rapids play, probably could make the step up to the EPL, at least as a squad player.

ESPN is talking about Colorado Rapids forward Omar Cummings going to Aston Villa initially on loan.

They get no support from their city, especially when it comes to trying to find a way out of RFK. They may actually move to Baltimore in the next few seasons because the mayor of DC said "absolutely not" when asked about money for DC United to build a new stadium in the area. They really don't seem to put much effort into sport I mean the Redskins get attention but little else. It's quite frustrating I'd like to live in DC one day for sure and in the DCMetro area every Saturday morning the place was bursting with kids and parents playing Football, so their catchment area must be pretty big. They need support though they have a good potential there. The main reason they won't get a stadium any time soon is because the Nationals just had one built so they are out in the boondocks for a few more seasons now and I don't think the execs at DC United are willing to wait that long. There are a lot of soccerfootball fans in the city though. One of the flagship franchises as well which would be a shame to see them move.

They keep trying to push Rooney's little brother into this draft. Some people were actually expecting him to go in the top 5 MLS execs would love to have a Rooney in MLS.

http://www.tsv1860.de/de/aktuell/news/2010/news_2011-01-13_cooper.php Looks like the Timbers signed Kenny Cooper today as well. Maybe why we traded for extra allocation money.

Great pick for them. 17 goals and 8 assists in 23 matches is a good return.
-
Aye. The only way I was able to get even a slight hint last year was on the MLS website itself on the projected draft bit. I could be wrong, but it feels like there was a fair bit of college soccer on FSN. We live near Akron, so we'd always look out for their games. Can't say I knew much about their players though. Yeah they do show a decent amount of matches.

Yeah they only play a few matches on ESPNU now and again (until the finals when they get aired on ESPN2). Other than that it's not the easiest thing in the world to find out info on most of these guys. I usually just wait until draft time and do my reading then - let everyone else do the hard work.

Yeah it's him and Lalas in the studio. Rob Stone and John Harkes are at the draft. Weird. Former players don't often go for that role. Too bad he can't force himself into Lalas' role. He's kind of a huge dudebro when analyzing but overall he's still better than Lalas.

It's him and Lalas in the studio doing the analyzing. Rob Stone and John Harkes are at the draft doing the "play by play."
