  1. I never try to criticise posts on here but wow, what a poor post. Get over yourself. And has played more consistently for many more seasons. SWP had what, one or two good seasons at Man City then pissed it away because he wanted a big money/glory move to Chelsea and got to rot on the bench instead? Milner is a much more vaulable player than SWP or Lennon will/could ever be.
  2. How many times does Ashley have to come out and say the funds are there if KK finds the people he wants before we stop reading posts/hearing stories about Ashley not releasing the funds?
  3. If you want SWP or Lennon over Milner you need to get your fucking head checked. Milner may not be as fast as SWP/Lennon but at least he has an end product and knows how to cross the ball. The timing of all this reeks of shit, something is amiss behind the scenes.
  4. I have a feeling Ramos is done with Berbatov and wants to get rid of him but the board is not so keen.

This whole thing is too much. He's already a cult hero and hasn't stepped on the field for a senior match. If he does at a home game you all will go mental, imagine if he scores.
  6. I stopped watching in about the 85th minute, seems we made quite a meal out of it after that. God bless Michael Owen.
  7. Liked Shaw's response. Full of praise. Top guy. "Underestimate Newcastle at your own peril" - Shaw
  8. I know it never needs to be said but I will say it again: Beye is fucking class.
  9. He's really overrated but he does make a nuisance of himself, that's for sure. He posses a threat and always has defenders on their toes even if he doesn't deserve to have them on edge.
  10. erm...pardon me? Milner? pace? The end product bit. SWP can't cross worth shit and people on here seem to think Milner can't either.
  11. Am I the only person that doesn't rate SWP? He's got tons of pace but no end product - the same thing a lot of people on here knock Milner for.
  12. Carrick _ Scholes Ronaldo ___________ Giggs Rooney Berbatov I'd reckon something along those lines. He's the front/target man they need and Rooney loves that free/playing in the hole position.
  13. If I were in Newcastle I'd definitely be down for this. Would love to get a kick around together when I make it over there in the Spring though.
  14. Would love for some young fringe players (Bassong, et al) get a run out for this match while still fielding a decent side. Eventually I'd field a full squad but for these first few rounds I'd like to see some other guys get match experience.
  15. When everyone is fit I think this is what Keegan will go with to be honest.
  16. Had a thought about Huddlestone. He's always been someone I've rated and I can guarantee he's not fancying riding the pine watching Tottenham go belly up. Worth a punt? Would be solve our DM "problem" or would you all see him riding the pine here behind Butt?
  17. Quality work, dudes.
  18. They should either 1) do it in a different location or 2) have a few thousand people come out to the stadium and have a crowd in the background.

    England

Bold statements but I also tend to agree with them. They may not be the flashiest names on the team sheet but as a team they may work the best.
  20. He's not English (and ontop of that he's French), is anyone surprised?

    England

That falls under the category "best team" not "best players"

England look like shit as usual. Beckham looks fit as fuck though, he's all over the pitch.
  23. Uhh no they don't. There is actually a huge controversy right now as to whether the Toronto Argonauts will be allowed to move into BMO field (TFC's pitch). But it doesn't look likely. The TFC supporters would lost their marbles if they shared a field. You were likely watching a replay of the TFC vs. NY match from a couple days ago, as it was at Giants Stadium, the stadium that NY shares with it's NFL team, the NY Giants (though they too are moving into a Soccer Specific Stadium next year) OK then it doesn't get around the fact I couldn't see the bloody 'soccer' pitch markings. In my defence, it's the stupid way they show fixures over here, TOR 0 : 2 TOR is actually Toronto AT New York, never understood why they have to do thing the wrong way around !! I agree totally. It's a scar amongst the MLS to have to watch soccer matches played on football pitches - the only thing worse in the league is @ san jose where they play on top of a baseball field you can blatantly see where the pitchers mound sticks up. They've made a rule where any new MLS franchise has to have their own soccer specific stadium so it should help out immensely and a lot of the teams currently playing on shared pitches are working to get their own stadiums but like Steve Nicols said on a call in show the other day there is tons of red tape he had no idea existed to try and get a stadium built. I feel like MLS will start pushing this through with more fervor over the next couple of seasons perhaps even trying to exert pressure on cities themselves.

One of the pre-req's for starting an MLS franchise now is that you have your own soccer specific stadium (this started with TFC) so there's no way BMO Field/MLS/TFC would let a CFL team move in there now.
