  1. Would absolutely love that one for a second/third kit.
  2. They demonstrate better technique because they are fitter. If you don't get that then you are stupid. So a drug can teach you how to trap a football? Performance enhancing drugs are called performance enhancing drugs because performance is a combination of fitness, skill, technique and whatever else matters, like technology in motorsport. Have you played football? After a certain period of time (depending on your fitness) your legs can become almost unusable in any skillful manner. It's much harder to trap a football if your legs are "knackered" as opposed to being more fit and being able to have that high level of performance for longer periods of time.
  3. Really lazy tonight. We look really off the pace and are exuding a really big "we don't give a fuck" attitude.
  4. I refuse to be the one who is going to make the comment.
  5. Would love for Smith to seal it for us tbh.
  6. I actually got offered tickets in the away end from someone who looked like he worked for the club. He had full training kit on and was standing just outside where the team coach was parked. Oldish bloke, quite tall with scraggle grey hair? That's our clubs press officer if so. Nah, he was quite young and had geordie accent. He had shorts on so looked like he worked with the players. I didn't notice him on the pitch during the warm up though. Also the guy that does the NUFC TV interviews (cant remember his name) was staying in the same hotel as me Craig Hope isn't it? Dude has zero personality.
  7. Really torn about Berbatov. Absolutely love the guy, I think he's one of the classiest guys on the ball but I think he's 1) too old now and 2) this is really not the club for him. Would love and hate to have him here at the same time. And definitely not for 18m.
  8. Have a feeling it's not going to be far from that.
  9. The problem with the "Nolan situation" really isn't Nolan himself - it's the formation he has to play in to be highly effective. Are we really going to put that much trust in Carroll to play as the lone striker all season to accommodate Nolan? I've got far more faith in Nolan than Carroll but it's two sides of the same coin unfortunately. We can get away with Carroll up front on his own in the Championship, but at the Prem level I'm not so sure. The main point really though is that this goes beyond Nolan and how much faith you have in him, he's the quintessential "team player" and involves everyone around him and is directly affected by those around him as well (far more than some others). It boils down not to your trust/belief in Nolan, but more the team we have to play to fit Nolan in - and that is a team that I'm not very confident with at the Prem level.
  10. by far the nicest design posted, IMO. Easily. Looks mint. Agreed. Just a simple basic design - all that is needed. Which means we'll never get it.
  11. Or that it's even a hot bed for soccer.
  12. Actually you're probably a little more known now. People probably thought "who's this" when you posted before but now your the 6568768767 poster that's talked about me not going to games and me being on a Newcastle forum. Well played newbie. How old are you? Like 12? Grow up with all of the "newbie" talk.
  13. NYC->Montreal->Toronto->Chicago or a pre-season tournament in any of those cities.
  14. Did he come here just to pick up wages? We'll never know. What we do know is that he didn't really set the world alight when he was here but I'm not sure how much can be down to him being shit or for his time at the club, the club being total shit as well. Would you get out of bed in the morning on a snowy day and give it your all for Joe fucking Kinnear?
  15. This really is a non-story to be honest.
  16. We won't be wearing the new kits this season. We're still under contract by Adidas.
  17. Would definitely love to see them in Chicago. Seattle would be nice too.
  18. That pre-season tournament in NY sounded awesome.

    Messi

Very different eras of football so to say he's the "best ever" is hard but to say he's in the same class wouldn't be a stretch. There are players that come around every once and a while and are of a different class - ones like Pele, Maradona, Zidane, etc - and I think you can safely put Messi in that category at the moment. If he wins the WC then he will definitely stay there too.
  20. This. I think we're in good hands if we go into the Prem with Williamson and Coloccini as our two first-choice CBs.
