    Some positives

God forbid HTT try and be positive. Shows what's wrong with a lot of football supporters. Nothing is ever good enough.
  2. Loved the one he scored against Reading. His best, easily - the dip and swerve were sick.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Nah yesterday Shearer hit the nail on the head, he used him as an impact sub. yeah, after we'd not threatened once all game, genius, he clearly got it wrong man Right, when Jonas was on how much was he kicked and battered ? You put him on from the start, and you'll have a crocked player after 20 minutes. Jonas doesn't take the physical game well, it was the right decision, if it wasn't for his poor decision to start Carroll over Shola we would have won. The best managers LEARN from their mistakes..lets see That's if you think Shearer made a "mistake" by not starting Jonas. He clearly was using him as an "impact" sub and it worked great. Let the workhorses like Duff, Nolan, Guthrie run the defence tired and then let Jonas who has a bit of real pace come on and run at them some more when they are already tired. Jonas would have not been as effective had he started yesterday.
  4. I noticed after we scored, for the last ten minutes or so, Beye was playing in front of Butt for the majority of the rest of the match, leaving Edgar and Bassong at the back by themselves. I really liked his mobility in that position - he made more runs than the majority of our midfielders for sure.
  5. This post is as delusional as your posts about Nolan in another thread. Shearer is gone at the end of the season and people need to not get their hopes up.
  6. Sat. Apr. 11 Stoke City Newcastle 12:30 p.m EST on Fox Soccer Channel. Any pub will have it. If you need to find a pub that has FSC check this page: http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/802702/Fox-Soccer-Channel-Pub-Guide
  7. How's that work? He's probably better than a lot of what we have, but overall he's pretty ordinary and looks shit in Chelsea's side. It's more an indictment of our squad than Malouda.
  8. Malouda is pretty ordinary. That being said, he'd do well in our squad no doubt, he just looks shit playing for in a squad like Chelsea's.
  9. You can tell by the background colors - dead giveaway. In photoshop you can just change the hue of the entire image which is what they did until they got red instead of blue. The background of the boro image is all green instead of what it should be like in the Chelsea picture.
  10. Really looking forward to seeing that, I hope it happens.
  11. The recruitement process won't change just cos Wise has gone, the infrastructure and scouting network has now being set up. The recruitement will not be an issue compared to relegation, if we go down we won't have the PL reserve league to play in and will have to try and develop our young players against the likes of Barnsley, Hartlepool reserve side, whereas our kids play against similar aged players currently, god knows what kind of reserve players are in the championship and league 1 & 2 teams! If we go down, our reserve squad will be our first team squad no doubt.
  12. Enrique's english is much better than it was only a few months ago.
  13. Ashley will offer him the job and Shearer will turn it down. That's hardly Ashley's fault.
  14. I agree with you. He's making all of the right noises to leave after eight matches. I really don't think he fancies it but understands what it means to the club in these eight matches. If I were a betting man I'd put money down on him leaving at the end of the season.

    Owen

Shearer will use Xisco, mark my words. He rated him highly before he took the job and will do so now that he sees Xisco on a day to day basis. I feel like Xisco is made in quite the same mold as Shearer (with more ....you know), he works in quite the same way that Shearer does on the pitch. He holds the ball(s) (heyo!) up well and distributes well too.
  16. There is a picture taken right before this one with his arm around Jonas and they are obviously joking with each other. I reckon he has just pushed Jonas in this picture.
  17. That's what SAF does. I read somewhere that SAF is rarely even at training sessions.

    Wise Gone

I agree with everything in this. I think Wise got the shit end of the stick from the KK fallout (when none of us never will know what actually happened) and never recovered.
  20. Two things about the US: 1) Bradley is a great player and I always thought he was. 2) Ching is seriously the best we have to offer up front?
  21. Wish Newcastle had signed him instead of Xisco. Nothing against Xisco, as I don't think anyone here can judge him, ,but for about the same price, Altidore would have been awesome. Jozy + Nile = Champions League 2015 Jozy just makes sense for the EPL, possibly the first forward from the US that ever has. He's got the size, physicality, skill and speed to potentially succeed in this league. And he's still only 19. I think there's a very good chance he's here in a few years somewhere. With him and Torres, the younger Americans for the first time seem much much more like they could be world-class players than any in US history as far as I remember. I'll be very interested to see how the team does in 2010, it has a very solid mix of veterans like Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Carlos Bocanegra and Frankie Hejduk, and youngsters like Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey, Torres and Jozy. Clearly the class of CONCACAF, not that that means much, especially with the general terribleness of Mexico. So it's time to see what this team can do against the top teams of the world. Would love for Altidore to have a good WC but unfortunately I doubt he will. He will be out classes by the world class players he will be up against - although mind, he is the most world class player to come out of the US.

    Owen

Yeah but Shearer doesn't have to fix Owen, he has to fix the shit wingers we have.
  23. And it's not on the telly! fuck! It is in the US.

    Players in public

Cor blimey...he was a clogger...remember him...dirty bastard. He played in a Birmingham defence that had Coton in goal and Mark Dennis at left back...fucking animals. That's without Kevin Dillon and Robert Hopkins in front of them. I dont remember him as a player, too young but, he was such a nice man, wouldnt think he was like that Seriously, having him teach youngsters football is like putting King Herod in charge of a creche. It was english he taught, he was a resident supply teacher. p.s. Who's King Herold? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herod_the_Great May be mistaken though. and a creche is a Nativity scene if I am not mistaken.
