Yep. Except for Bournemouth and Leicester
-
Oof, suspected as much .

In the absence of Bruno and Wilson, how many games did we win with Longstaff and Wood starting? genuine question btw, as I have no idea.
-
Who else is out from our midfield? (Apologies if I’ve misinterpreted this).
-
Yikes. No Wilson or Bruno will make this difficult for us. I worry for our midfield; Wolves have one of the best midfields in the league.
-
I really really hope we follow up on our supposed interest in Manu Kone. Watched him again recently and I really do think this guy will be something very special indeed. Still so young but has absolutely everything; the fantastic technical ability of a young N’Dombele but actually possessing the insane work-rate and athleticism needed to take him to the very, very top. He’ll go on to huge things, I’ve no doubt. Massively impressed.
-
He’s one of the best defenders in the league imo.
-
Said it a few times that people were sleeping on Palace this season. They’ve a very good squad and manager.
-
Bit late now Amine, lad. Would be an amazing signing for anyone in the league imo.
-
Forest will be fine this season. Decent manager and some impressive signings. The only way it doesn’t work is if the players aren’t there for the right reasons or don’t gel quickly enough.
-
Could be wrong but (wanky term aside) the “eye test” suggests he’s a very safe passer. Ajax fans are always complaining that he isn’t a good enough passer for how they like to play. Do think we could really do with a safe and simple destroyer like him though; Joelinton aside, we’re fairly lightweight in the middle of the park.
-
Progressive ones? I’d be surprised. Real sideways passing merchant. He’s Rodri if Rodri was worse at passing, imo.
-
Wasn’t called out but he’s a very effective destroyer although slightly limited in terms of his passing (which has improved recently tbf). Basically a rich man’s Hayden. I don’t think Ajax fans like him all that much, but he’d be great for us as we don’t have another midfielder like him (a pure defensive dm) currently.

*Sigh* Wish it wasn’t a team we could have realistically competed with. Stings more. I imagine our spending is more or less done. 1 more loan signing (hopefully someone like Gallagher or Pulisic) and that’s it. Despite the Paqueta heartbreak, it’d be a 9/10 summer.
-
thread title change. Romano skying it from 6 yards out?
-
Exactly. Vinny seemingly rocking the boot cut dad jeans in 2022
-
Hate to use this term as it reminds me of the summer I spent in Toronto with some white stoner mates but: ASM, Isak and Pedro would be such a baller front 3.
-
Ref was a complete freak, like. Looks like he was chuckling to himself, whispering “it’s a man’s game” all match.
-
Yeah. That would suck.
-
I’d be ecstatic with either scenario
-
Unless they change their system, I can see them letting him go. Doesn’t seem comfortable in a double pivot.
-
I’d prefer Gallagher in that 8 role than Bruno.
-
Very similar to Isak though in that’s he’s not a typical no. 9 and can be deployed anywhere across the front 3. Hope I’m wrong but they seem too similar for us to be getting both.
-
I’ve been more negative than most about this transfer but that’s way overboard. He’s at the very least a 35m player and in this market 40-45m would have been fair. He’s a very unique style of player and ideal for certain systems. Sounds to me like a bit of PL envy/bitterness which is (perhaps understandably) a lot more prominent from proponents of other Leagues these days.

Like myself, they think he’s overhyped after a very good 20/21 season and a great Euro performance. Not a prolific goal scorer but I do really like him. Sociedad’s play-style didn’t help but he was largely underwhelming last season. I’ve no doubt Howe can get the best out of him as he does have the attributes to potentially be a very special player. I’ve said it earlier I’m very impressed that we’ve managed to convince a player with his reputation to sign for us and we’re showing that, if we really want a player, we’ll pay over the odds to get him in. That, in and of itself, is very encouraging.
