Maddison would pick Spurs over us if it came down to it imo.
-
He’s not a playmaker but he’s not a terrible passer either. I said this before but I think that as soon as he gets the right coaching he’ll be unplayable.
-
Lavia looks to be the more technical player but Onana is a unique physical specimen. Wouldn’t take much coaching from Eddie to turn him into a terrifyingly effective midfielder.
-
Meh. Bit high but they paid close to 40 for him so it’s understandable. Lavia would be going for similar and they’re not too far apart in terms of ability/ effectiveness.
-
Depends on the fee but I’d definitely take him. Physically he’s a perfect Eddie Howe player, absolute beast in the making and only 20/21.
-
We all know that’s what it was introduced to do.
-
If Ffp wasn’t a thing you could buy a league 1 side and take it to the Champions’ League with 6 billion and still have change .
-
Pretty sure I read that he signed a new contract with a low release-clause before the World Cup.
-
Maybe but we’re top 4 side, not a rehabilitation centre.
-
Why no chance? It’s not like we paid big money for Ashby and Livramento is younger and infinitely more proven. Super risky going into a long season with a guy that has only played a handful of top-flight games as our back-up right-back.
-
Not really. They’re- within the realms of shariah law- cleaning up their act across the board (albeit largely for monetary reasons)to improve their world image and improve tourism into the country . Mbs, the guy everyone is piling on nowadays, and for largely good reason, has been the spearhead for an amazing change in the country over such a short amount of time. Honestly you wouldn’t believe the sort of shit that used go on here before he came into power.

Great idea. They finished dead last . I’d take JWP in a heartbeat too btw.
-
Yeah. Petty as it is, that’s ship’s sailed now. You’ve made your choice, now live with it.
-
good all-rounder then.
-
Nah, you read correctly- it’s my bad. I was sure he was a winger/ attacking midfielder ala Pedro. Could swear he was playing as a striker against us as well? Didn’t realize he was mostly deployed as a centre-mid.
-
Plays across the front 3? Distinctly remember him playing up front against us as well, unless I’m mistaken?
-
Good alternative to Pedro, especially if he’s going cheap.
-
Any reason given as to why?
-
Still missing a 6 (or a 4, whatever) there.
-
Been beating this drum for ages. The kits from Castore have been pretty decent quality-wise. Is the grief they’re getting due to their service?
-
He just doesn’t suit their system (they need inverted fullbacks). In terms of traditional, overlapping left-backs -when he’s fit- there aren’t many better in the Prem.
-
I think he’ll do well, and by well I mean getting them between 5th-7th place. They still have a very decent squad (with good youth prospects to come through) and no European distractions.
-
It’s mainly for their World Cup bid. Big name players to the league will legitimize KSA as a footballing nation, brings more eyes to the league and indirectly promotes KSA as a tourist destination to outsiders that had never even thought about the country before.
-
He’s gone from being our talisman to being on the periphery in a year. Must be tough; I’m sure he’s just fishing for a bit of love and providing an apology of sorts for a disappointing season (in terms of his own performances/ fitness).

You may have seen Cherki more than I have but he never struck me as a “Howe-ball” player. Lacks physicality and I definitely wouldn’t call him “high-energy” either.
