Think he puts a lot of pressure on himself to be some sort of human highlight reel. Really needs to just play it simple more often.

Been saying this for a while but he’s honestly one of the most underrated AM’s in world football imo. No surprise West Ham’s form dipped when he was out and improved since he’s been available for selection.

Reckon if Kane goes, they’ll be in for Osimhen. I’d definitely take DCL. We seem to want to play with a target man and he’s the best we could currently attract imo; always impressed with his hops, hangs in the air so well.

This team should have 2 more wins in them, which you’d imagine would be enough.

Conducts himself with class, speaks well and our team finally has a distinct identity. So far I’ve been quite impressed with him; whether or not he’s the guy to push us into the higher echelons is up for debate but he’s moving us in the right direction (recent results notwithstanding).

Keeping compact but we’re looking slightly outclassed here.

Disagree completely. It may be lacking in some areas but this is definitely the strongest crop of talent England have ever produced.

Presumably Target/ another LB in that too I hope.

I think another consideration to be taken into account is whether those players could thrive in “modern” playing styles. I imagine a good few former Ballon D’or nominees would struggle under high-energy/ pressing systems.

Love the talent in this England squad now; we’ve been crying out for technically gifted players for a while and I feel like we have that now. In saying that, I believe our recent success may (in some ways) be in spite of Southgate. Seemingly a very good man-manager, but I really don’t see him having the tactical nous to outfox the truly elite managers in world football. For that reason, despite the cornucopia of talented youngsters at our disposal, I don’t think we’ll ever truly achieve greatness with Gareth at the helm.

Most overrated I can think of: Joe Cole, Lukas Podolski, Samir Nasri, Fernando Torres, Mario Balotelli.

Think they paid upwards of 75m for him didn’t they? Fantastic talent but won’t come cheap.

Guehi Is a great call up. Connor Coady over Tomori Is criminal tbh.

I think his engine is fine, it’s his lack of athleticism that limits him imo.

MBS has done wonders for finally improving women’s rights in KSA; he deserves a lot of credit for that as well as being (at least from what I’ve seen in Jeddah and Riyadh) the spearhead for a more “progressive” KSA. There is, justifiably, a lot of criticism to be leveled at him but I’ve seen so many incredibly positive changes in the last 5 years in Saudi as a direct result of him coming into power.

Gotta feel sorry for them really, but

If - through some unfathomable dip in form- we only win 1 more game this season, please let it be this one.
