Exactly. Bruce was given 100 million pounds as well and we visibly regressed despite having better players.

Probably not anymore but always thought Lage was underrated. Likewise Dean Smith and Hassenhuttl. Obvious ones but yeah Lampard is very overrated and, to a lesser degree, Gerard as well.

This lot are better away than at home, strangely. If ASM and Manquilo are back I’d be very confident of a home win.

Our very congested fixture list in March has me slightly worried. Winnable games on paper but not sure our squad is good enough to get the results with all the inevitable squad rotation and potential injuries. Fwiw I’m confident, to an extent, that we’ll survive but I imagine the table won’t be anywhere near as flattering 3 weeks from now. Or it could be and I’m just a massive fanny .

Down to a 3 now. More teams in it and the table looks a lot healthier from our perspective. Think Burnley will have enough. Hope to God Everton drop.

It’s ugly but a clear game-plan and very solid defensive setup will- more often than not- see you to safety.

I quite liked the names we were going for this window (albeit unsuccessfully for the most part) hope we continue with the same list in the summer, providing we stay up.

They’ve looked good for a few games now, recent results haven’t reflected how well they’ve been playing.
