Wouldn’t say he’s that unrealistic. Spurs fans want rid and I think Conte sees Skipp as the better fit for that role. I get the feeling he’d take 30 mil and bring in Brozovic. Regarding Hojbjerg, he’s very very good at breaking up play and recycling possession. His lack of mobility and slowness on the ball however can often mean that he’s the target of an opposition press. I reckon Spurs will want to upgrade him but for us (although I’d prefer Philips) I think he’d be a great signing!

Also rumours we’re looking at the young striker Kalimuendo from PSG. Seems very sensible; in terms of numbers, the best young prospects in European football seem to be coming from France and England. PSG in particular have a very underrated youth set-up. This is kind of what I was hoping we would do with Carr’s talent-spotting before but we didn’t have the ambition or the finances to really go for it. Really hope we do a turbo-charged version of that model with our new owners.

Think his alleged lifestyle choices have had a major impact on him. Our resident coke expert HTT (safety smiley ) might have something to say about it but if rumours are to believed he’s fucked himself going that hard in the formative years of his playing career. Can confirm. Not back in Newcastle that often these days but witnessed firsthand him kicking off and acting like a bellend because he couldn’t park his car literally right in front of the swinging doors at the main entrance of the hotel. Caused such a fuss and really inconvenienced a load of people trying to check in. Was at it for almost an hour. I’m pretty patient when it comes to these thing but man, what an absolute tosser.
