They've brought him in to get them out of the s*** (ten games too late btw - typically, trying to do things on the cheap and gamble on SMc) and, if he does, they'll let him go. In the Championship, there is no way they would pay him a premiership salary so he'd be off anyway. It's a crying shame though because a proper owner/board with just an ounce of ambition would talk him into staying by convincing him to use the season to sort out his side, structure the club and get the systems right for returning to the big time. John Hall (or, dare I say, FS) would talk him into it, no problem. Three year contract already signed though, which is only breakable if we're relegated. That's what was reported at the time anyway, have I missed something new about the terms of the deal? No, I think that's probably right, I just wonder if he'd walk away from it all if he gets fucked about. Wouldn't blame him either if he did.

Club basically didn't play him in order for the trigger not to happen Surprised he actually has a case honestly. He was still paid a weekly wage in accordance to his contract. An option in a contract is surely an "option" and nothing more. I think had it been based solely on his perceived inability to get back into the squad due to poor quality / fitness then you'd be right. However, the history of events suggest it was a pre-determined decision as soon as he got cancer, and therefore a debate of discrimination in the workplace rather than unfair dismissal. Could be wrong like?

There seems to be a lot more hatred for Jack Colback now than there was 12 months ago. I like to think I've partly contributed to that by preaching about this monstrosity of a footballer on a regular basis, in boozers in and around Newcastle. Colback is pure scum. A turncoat c*** who shouldn't have been allowed to step foot in SJP. I can't wait till the c*** finds his level back in the Championship with a Bristol City or Burton Albion - even if we go down we must get rid.
