  1. When's the next one? How much does it cost? Do you play 90minutes? Where do you normally play? Am I welcome? Just a few questions I had, and couldn't be arsed to gan through all the pages.
  2. Nevertheless, we should have been trying our best to keep a player like him on board. Edgar did fairly well for us whenever he played, and will no doubt be on a tiny percentage of what the likes of Coloccini are on. I don't think Edgar has ever been any worse than Coloccini tbh. Edgar has Premiership experience despite it only being a minimal amount and he doesn't cost us nowt really. This club desperately needs sorting like.
  3. Good move for Edgar - bad move for us.
  4. Darlington (a). Really looking forward to it actually....I don't know exactly why like...

Can someone please photoshop Mark Vidukas head, arms and legs on to an Orange Campino sweet please. I would find it highly amusing.
  6. I would expect there to be a certain degree of bartering involved so starting at a high price is probably the best option from a business point of view. From my point of view just hand the club over for a quid Ashley - no one likes you.
  7. Tbf if I wasn't a Newcastle fan and I hadn't lived in the region then I would probably hate us too. We have a unique Geordie sense of humour that can be quite harsh but funny. Most other clubs don't understand this. Besides we have a massive followign which many other clubs are jealous of - particularly the lieks of spuds and Everton who are overshadowed by clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool. It still annoys the hell out of me though. Peoples' obsession only makes us stronger though - because it gives us the satisfaction of knowing everyone is bothered about us, one way or another.
  8. As much as the bloke annoys me - He isn't half as bad as Barton (from a personality point of view). Footballing I probably respect Barton more, despite him being a dick.

Just thought I would sum up my feelings about getting a season ticket. This year is an ultimate piss take - especially after they just launched the mongy away strip.

Ashleys taking over, a new owner's in place, I for one did not believe it, 'til I saw his face. He came forward - He got power, the leader of a race, The Geordie Boot Boys began to have, a new, reborn blind faith. Keegan re-installed, the messiah was now back, it all seemed fine and dandy, until Mike gave power to a sack. Wise by name not nature, our team deadly in attack, but Keegan whinged - board thought they'd won, but knowledge is what they lack. Oh how the footy crumbled, Oh how the times got bad, we got several different managers, crazy...just a tad, From bad to worse the times got, The Geordie Boys grew sad, To follow that shite we seen last year, We must be fucking mad. We got ourselves a new faith, a one in a man called Shearer, he had 8 games left to do it, and the message couldn't have been clearer. We're all in this together lads, lets pull together, nearer, We have to get us out this shit, The price we'll pay if we don't couldn't be any dearer. We went 7 games, we had a chance, a point was all we'd need, But a majority of those ont hat pitch, Did not do their professional deed, The Championship is almost here, We need to get rid of the weeds, and grow into the club we can be, by using our young seeds. But still I look for something, Just any form of light, All I want is something, to make signing an application seem just right. As time goes on, the days go by, and we wait night by night, all I can think as I sign this form, Is that we're fucking shite. But i'll still do it, I will sign, Even if it seems wrong. We can be led by a bunch of pricks, or even one big shlong, The Championship is where we'll be, but not be their for long But I'll be there to shout and cheer, Because St James' is where I belong.
  13. It didn't really fit into any other particular thread, and it kind of covers topics that some others don't quite cover.
  14. Good point. I reckon if you struggle getting away tickets you'll be able to get plenty in the home end anyways...
  15. Blackpool is the one everyone mentions but for some reason I reckon there will be far better trips at different grounds.
  16. Last two promotions, every away game from about xmas, was like a huge Party, some brilliant weekends,.. I'm only 19 so I cannot really remember the last promotion, but I think next season will be such a laugh from start to finish and I'm genuinely looking forward to it.
  17. I cannot wait for the fixture list already....

Cut the ST prices a tad, fuck off the likes of Owen and the wasters, get a decent chairman like Mort back in who can actually deal with the PR side of the club properly and back the manager. Mike Ashley put his first foot forward in making amends when he fucked off Wise, he took the second step when he employed Shearer and now he just needs to continue.

Well done to him for talking the talk (finally) but now he has to walk the walk and put his hand in his pocket.
  20. I agree, I think it will be great next season and I'm thoroughly looking forward to going to some of the away games next year. Also, I don't think Martins, etc will stay but based on our current suad that's what I would keep.
  21. Well, the day finally came and the moment finally arrived, when Newcastle United (that not so big club from the North East) got relegated. The dissappointment never has quite sunk in for me yet, not sure if it will either. For what was dissappointing about our performance this year? Nothing. It's been shambolic from start to finish. Yet the one thing, the same thing as always, that has made this season memorable, and worthwhile, has been the support. I had a season ticket in the Leazes End for about 7 years, and moved up to the new "singing section" for this season, and despite the doubts of many people within the ground I think the singing section has been magnificent. There has been a constant murmor of support coming from that area of the ground with the occassional outburst which has shook the whole ground into action. Not only this area - but the Strawberry Corner also, has been magnificent, the gallowgate and it's rallying cries in moments of sheer desperation, it's been great, truelly great. Seeing those 3,000 fans down at Villa and hearing them singing their hearts out made me so proud. Seeing people keep that stiff upper lip and continue supporting the lads post match was phenomenal. Those 3,000, have single handedly (if you like) stuck a two-fingered salute to every single journalist, media pundit, tv presenter, football fan, who has ever ridiculed us, and I would just like to personally thank them via this message. I will be there next year, and I hope the singing section will be too, even better again if it is in the lower section of the ground! But the final thing that's making it mkre and more appetising is the continued enthusiasm shown by our support. Everyone appears to be keeping faith, and I hope it continues, for this is the time when many will look on and judge us, and this is the time for us to collectively have our backs to the wall, and fight our way back to where we belong, the top 10 of the best league in the world. I would like to think we keep Alan Shearer on board with Iain Dowie and then maybe a nice mixture of the likes of Rob Lee and some more experienced coaches. With about £10-15million and the squad below then I think we would have a good chance of securing promotion.... Steve Harper - GK Habib Beye - RB Jose Enrique - LB Sebastien Bassong - CB Steven Taylor - CB Peter Lovenkrands - RM Jonas Gutierrez - LM Danny Guthrie - CM Alan Smith - CM Obafemi Martins - ST Andrew Carroll - ST Damien Duff - Squad Player Ryan Taylor - Squad Player Tamas Kadar - Squad Player Fabio Zamblera - Squad Player David Edward Edgar - Squad Player Frank Wiafe Danquah - Squad Player Wesley Ngo Baheng - Squad Player Ole Soderberg - Squad Player Fraser Forster - Squad Player Ben Tozer - Squad Player Mark Viduka - Squad Player Callum Morris - Squad Player Kazenga LuaLua - Squad Player Tim Krul - Squad Player Ryan Donaldson - Squad Player Jonny Godsmark - Squad Player Nile Ranger - Squad Player Kevin Nolan - Get rid Cacapa - Get rid Joey Barton - Get rid Michael Owen - Get rid Foluwashola Ameobi - Get rid Xisco - Get rid Geremi - Get rid Nicholas Butt - Get rid Ignacio Gonzalez - Get rid Fabricio Coloccini - Get rid The place I would strengthen would be Midfield. I would get a creative central Midfielder and a solid holding Midfielder, then we would need a right winger for cover. I think the two wingers in place in that line up would do great for the Championship but I just think they both lack a bit of final product. Would still keep them in the Premier League like as squad players. Need a left and right back too for cover. I think the defense is probably the strongest aspect of our squad providing Coloccini isn't in it, I just think we lack strength in depth there, and up front it's time to freshen things up - fuck off Owen, Viduka and Shola and give Carroll and Ranger a chance. Providing our squad consisted of the above I think we'd do okay in the Championship - but more games means more depth is needed - preferrably at a low cost too. Midfield and up front are our two highest priority areas to fix though, as we have been fucking hopeless attacking teams. A bit if a mixed bag this post I know, but I just wanted to share my views..... HOWAY THE LADS! KEEP THE FAITH! NEWCASTLE UNITED, WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER!...BE DEFEATED!
  22. No for me. We should be aiming to sign people like Torres.
  23. Hahaha. Had a similar experience today, I thought I would leave wearing the Toon stuff out just so it didn't seem like I was doing it for sympathy ro a reaction. However, they tried and tried to provoke and it just didn't work - not one Newcastle fan bit. They didn't know what to say, and similarly gave up at around 11. No doubt it will continue for the next few years - or at least until they're below us once again, but so fuck. Keep the faith.
