also injured for the start of the season

You've seen Erding play, right? If we are to sign him and Ba - I can't see us playing a 4-3-3. Unless Erding is to go wide-right? No Erding is an out and out striker. Ba could and has played on the left wing before but definitely better up front as well. Unless one of them is on the bench and how many others we have got already it would suggest two strikers up front. I wouldn't say that Ba is definitely better up front, then playing left wing in a 4-3-3 formation. He played most of his games for Hoffenheim as left wing with Ibisevic up front and he did at least an equal, if not better job there. I must admit I haven't seen him much in West Ham, but I've seen him in quite a lot of games for Hoffenheim. You might have a point but I'm not sure he has the legs for that position anymore. Looked completely shagged after the hour when he played there for West Ham.

This signing as well as Ba's has really got my questioning whether we are indeed going to be playing a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 next season.

on the pipeleine...ON THE PIPELINE !!!!! you never get anywhere with deals on the pipeline, it's well known that only deals in the pipeline ever get completed. There is always Gas on the pipeline, whether its natural or man made flatulence.

tbf he is up against some big names and experienced players in that list.

Spot on. The thought of him and Ba as our strikeforce is worrying (for us) though. Why? Is it not a massive improvement on what we had year? Especially with HBA being back too? I rarely watch PSG matches, but from what I've seen of him - he (Erdinc) just seems to be a run of the mill, average striker. I just don't see what his oustanding attribute(s) are meant to be. Scores a few goals from crosses and works like Tevez used to, but hope he doesn't end up as a lone-striker for us, not sure he'll score enough goals... Your assessment is pretty much what I and everyone I speak to that watches Ligue 1 thinks.

We go through and find the handful (if that) of realistic transfer targets and send a letter to the club.

Congratulations Mimi

Good signing but he is really going to deteriorate quickly with his injuries. When he hits his late twenties he is going to go downhill fast imo.
-
Somewhat correct but there has been alot of changes in the scouting set up in that time and it would wrong to brandish the current set up with the same brush.
-
better than Gervinho imo
-
? No he didn't, I was there

Good physical attributes but it doesn't look like he has the mentality to be a footballer, yet alone a professional one. Perhaps he has had a big end of season bender and has got himself in some trouble?

This will probably help Phil Airey's career progression

Any idea how he's been getting on in Turkey? Plays as a back up player for an upper-middle table club in Turkey (Keyserispor finished 6th). Has a bit a flexibility in that he can play left wing, attacking midfielder or striker without looking 100% comfortable in either position which is why he is on the bench. I don't think he ever had what it took to be a Premier League player, his passing is still quite erratic and he makes poor decisions in the final third. However he is pacey and had some good touches to get past the right back a few times and is good enough to carve himself out a decent career in Europe and amongst the Socceroos squad. Only 22 so will get better.

Former Newcastle player James Troisi scored the third from the penalty spot as Australia beat the only undefeated team at the 2010 World Cup, New Zealand 3-0. Had a go at him early when was miscontrolled a ball by yelling at him "Tha's why you never made it at Newcastle you retard" but doubt that he heard me

It really looks as if Pardew is going to change the way we play next season with substantially different personnel. Will be interesting to see what happens.

tbf Lille have a better record of making it into Europe than we or most English clubs do this century. They will hardly fall off the map, Hazard is going to be moved for big money this season or next.

Tom Cleverly?

I'm not his biggest fan, he isn't a smart player (positioning, passing decision making) and most of his skill comes from his physical attributes. Very similar to Kalou in that he can be hot and cold and very frustrating to watch. In saying that he has been one of the best players in Ligue 1 this season.

hopefully the Mittals take over...

Wouldn't be our first signing anyway. Fingers crossed this is bs

It is too early in the window to deal with this kind of story!
