It's one thing to be a shit manager. It's another to be a shit manager and snidely shift blame to others, Not only that, he bolted from a team to take this job. He knew (or should have known) what he was getting into. Even that presser, no, no, no its not about me but then take a pop at the journos for speculating about him. Based on everything I've observed since he's come here he's shit manager with low character to boot.

Well, that will have been a good lesson for Amanda and Mehrdad. The fat crybaby comes across very badly with some of his comments. He tried to be professional but he just could not carry it off.

We need someone who can organize us from back to front. Rafa could, Jose could and if Emery could, I say go for him. I quite like Favre too. He could be that "bridge" manager to get the club moving in the right direction. Gerard's comments pique my interest. Is he good enough though? He'd have the right attitude, IMO. I'm glad Zidane is out. He would not have been the right fit as VI alluded to. I'd like a manager who REALLY wants to be here. REALLY wants to take on the challenge to build something. Rafa would have been perfect but that ship has sailed. We talk about about hiring "a manager" but we have to hire a whole coaching staff with him as well. How easy is that?

love me some Demba

@Froggy has that all sorted.

They've been waiting for the takeover.

Do we buy jigsaw puzzles?

Amanda's face lit up when she met ASM when I watched the video of her and Mehrdad at the training ground. -

Debate the politics of the deal in the Off Topic forum. We all have our feelings. Some want to express them, some of us don't want to read them.

I don't think Barry Rodgers is leaving Leicester.

Well, if I was running the club I know what I would have done. Ok , maybe I keep him on to twist in the wind a bit but the smart move is to put him on leave, go with Jones in the interim and then bring your own people in. This is Steve Bruce we're talking about. Steve Fucking Bruce!

my head spins. From shitting about Brewce to all these top names. I'm having some difficulty processing all this...

You wonder how many players were on the dole while playing for Mike Ashley's Traveling Shit Show that will suddenly regain an interest in bettering themselves.

The focus of the drop in value will be the takeover and the fact the Glazer's sold off 9.5 million shares will be glossed over. Maybe they are selling shares because of the takeover but I doubt it.

Ragnick and Favre, for me.

IIRC, Carr was elevated from Chief Scout to a 4 man board with Schteve McLaren, Bobby Moncur and Charnley. Obviously McLaren left when he was binned and when Rafa came, technically, Carr would have been above him in the pecking order. Since Rafa wanted complete control over acquisitions, Carr had to go.

I agree with HTT. I seem to remember Stavely saying in a very brief interview after the takeover that she'd be judged on her performance. I think her and Mehrdad are running day to day ops with guidance from some football people. So they're charged with getting things up and running and perhaps when big ticket items (Infrastructure, perhaps some player purchases) will be reviewed by PIF. I would also agree that I'd like to see a DOF pick his manager. So sack Bruce, maybe DOF next week or week after and new manager in before the November break. That gives them all time to evaluate the squad and prep for the January window.

Ashley admitted to being baffled by football. I can see why as he appears unable to develop and adhere to any kind of long term strategy. I think he's used to putting money into a venture and seeing immediate results. Buy some chain of stores and either see a bump in sales or prestige or notoriety. He can probably get that at Derby. Once it gets stabilized, he'll lose interest and we all know what happens then.

How does a guy like Danny Murphy keep his job? He's an absolute knob.

Clubs will be out to skin us in January. We can't come out and panic buy. Target players to purchase, establish a fair price and if we get them, we get them. One in, one out, IMO. Sell, loan, whatever.
-
I hope he is chased off the grounds with a cattle prod.

I quite like Van der Beek. Out of place at Man U. Quite talented and will likely come with something to prove. Don't want Bailly, Don't want Lingard. Iffy on Martial.

Geez, the 3 amigos: Ashley, Charnley and Bruce. I guess it's better than being wound up. Maybe.
