If he's as desperate to fuck off as he claims then he has no choice. If they're all bidding £60m-£80m, I can't see someone suddenly coming in with the full £100m. It's like selling anything, you put an asking price above what you'd actually be happy with. I can't escape the feeling that Useless Mike might just choose the worst consortium out of those bidding as a final parting "gift" for us. If this Malaysian guy is worth £4.5b then I do think he'd probably up the price by a few million just so that Ashley favours him.
