Erm, no. Carroll won more flick-ons (and they were of better quality), and his general hold-up play was better. From a defensive point of view, he also tracked back more and put in a lot more effort.

We gifted them loads of opportunities after the goal due to our shit midfield ball retention, and it was a combiation of good goalkeeping, shit Stoke finishing and sheer good luck that we didn't concede another goal (or more). Had we not been lucky/indebted to Harper and Stoke's shite forwards for about 40 minutes, we wouldn't have rallied when Jonas and Carroll came on. There was still fuck all response straight after going a goal down.

Aye, what I dont understand is that he didnt ask Xisco to show him in games for the reserves....but Xisco did anyway, and he's still not in the squad. Something fishy is obviously going on with him. Got to be if 2 managers and Hughton haven't bothered with him. Xisco was absolutely dreadful last Monday night tbf. Agreed. He looked as weak as water, no strength on the ball whatsoever.
