I would have complained about him being first, that's for sure. But not about his presence on the list, of course. Dyer, Smith, Shawky, Etuhu, Halford, Koumas, O'Neil.. All been worse than Barton in terms of appearances and overall contribution.

You could just pick ten West Ham signings tbh. Their transfer policy was awful, they just threw money at any player who might score a goal for them one day.

Smith, Cacapa and Rozehnal were easily worse signings than Barton. Barton is beginning to find his form, and admittedly while he wasn't playing well, neither was the rest of the team. Our return to winning ways has coincided with him conjuring up some all-action displays - no way he can he the worst in the league ffs.

He'd better not be in the selected 16. St. James Park will already be crawling with leprechauns.

Joe Cole, SWP and Sidwell would be good. Two of them and that's your midfield sorted really, stick two of Butt, Barton, Geremi, Milner or Emre in with them and it would be very good. Possible chance of us getting Pizzaro as well, surely worth a punt. Or even Ben-Haim?

I reckon we should have an away kit next season the same as that rhubard and custard keepers kit we have now.

Personally, I think if we keep Owen he should remain club captain. However, Beye should be vice-captain, and if Owen is injured or not at the club, Beye should be given the armband.

Birmingham at home, FA Cup, 1-5. Roeder's decision to play what seemed like a bald, ginger statue on our left wing seemed a bit strange, only when it moved on 34 minutes did I realise it was Pattison. Truly AWFUL player.
