Seem to remember Bally got a nowts apiece at Old Trafford which whilst a decent result did actually relegate them. A true red and white hee-a-row.

Strange how there's no comments on there from Ball, you'd think he would use that as a platform to talk about how great their fans are etc. Can see why the mackems are worried about him leaving as a sign of massive unrest behind the scenes.
  3. Would shake hands on a point right now, I think this'll be tough.

    Dan Burn

Exceptional debut. Think he'll be class.
  5. Huge week and I have no complaints about the way we've played in these two home games, today not as stylish as midweek but game management and defending a lead comfortably boxes ticked today in a big way. I'm still not fully convinced by some of the selection decisions (Lascelles seemingly only missing out by necessity today) but he's banished some of the knackers like Clark, Ritchie etc and the new buys all look great, other than Wood who doesn't look like he has a goal in him despite helping the shape a lot. I was more critical than most and the next few games will be interesting to see if we can maintain the form, but I'm a hell of a lot more reassured with EH than I was even a month ago and I have to hold my hands up to that.

Did fine I thought. Shout out for his game management too, every throw-in was 30-40 seconds in the final quarter of the match and it didn't feel like he was piss-taking or getting noticed by the ref.

How many free kicks did he give against us 2nd half? Must have been near enough one every 2 minutes on average

Is it just me, or... The trip on Willock may have possibly been just marginally touching the line, but basically impossible to tell. How is that a clear and obvious error that VAR can immediately change? After watching Maddison and Trossard really obvious buy penalties only to be told "not clear and obvious so can't overrule" it seems drastically unfair on us yet again. Obviously I'd mind a lot more had Trippier not bagged the freekick, but still...
  9. Southampton would be about 4-1 up if Stuart Armstrong could shoot.
  10. Cheers. Gone for I Like To Move It in the 3.35.
  11. I'm on this as well with the free fiver.
  12. Think we'll have our eyes elsewhere come the summer but we can't just go out and buy a team of galacticos, we need to upgrade every position and have options and he's an excellent one. Would be super happy if he came back for a couple of years as we start to build and played a part, if not a starring role.

Can't be Alex Neil, he's never been at Sunderland before. As a Sunderland fan you must laugh at the Mags for wanting "messiahs" such as Keegan and Rafa to return to the club, without realising the irony of crying out for Keano, Baaaaaally, Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce, Sewpa Kev, Quinny, Jermain Defoe etc every time they sack one of their no-mark managers.

I'm confused... I thought it was only Mags who hounded out managers and owners etc?

Someone suggesting "seasons over, may as well let Defoe having a crack at it" on RTG

RTG is a hoot right now. Their new fantastic owner who's just recently stopped growing pubes "KLD" - "is finished here now" according to one poster. Loads saying "I'm done". Arguing and infighting and ITKs being outed as bullshitters.
  17. Thank god Mings didn't get sent off or injured there.
  18. Genuinely think I'd sooner play Tyrone from Coronation Street at centre back than Tyrone Mings.
  19. Coutinho and Ramsey are as good as Leeds defenders are shite. Hot knives through butter.
