I've been critical of Howe when he's deserved it but this isn't on like 17 England caps and a whacking great profit on what we paid for him says his game has come on plenty from when he arrived.

Not sure I believe that he's "turned down" Liverpool but if he has, a wee bonus point for him as he's leaving. When you compare with the cunt who left late last summer the fact he's going a) early, b) abroad and c) for a price we're happy with means we're much more likely to remember that great season he had and some of his more positive contributions in say ten years time, rather than the 18 months+ where he's only tried a leg in certain games and used pens to pad an overall bad end product.
