There's a bunch of pre-takeover lads who really deserve the trophy win for their contributions both before and after Eddie came in but he's probably right at the top of the list. He was the young lad who tried to take it by the scruff of the neck when nobody else would, captained us back into the Premier League, helped us consolidate and get the new era underway, with a colossal game against PSG at home for good measure. Inevitably he'll move on in the summer but I really hope he gets at least a cameo at SJP before he goes on his way, he deserves the appreciation of the crowd one more time. He'll not be remembered amongst our best ever players in years to come but for sure will go down as a very important figure in the recent era. So glad he got to lift that trophy.

Today's been fucking brilliant. Been at a mate's wedding, the game was on during the afternoon meal and since then it's been an absolute blur. I've had about 16, 18 pints (yeah, he drinks) and I am just settling down in the room at the gaff, absolutely twatted. Cup of tea, shortbread, highlights on for about the twelfth time. We did it. All of the shitty Ashley years we ensured have paid off in the best way today and there'll be more to come. Everyone in black and white was absolutely amazing today - fans, players, staff - and we absolutely dominated the best side in the country.
