I don't believe Kinnear will ever get a job in football again, without Ashley employing him. As a coach - he's too old hat and out of touch with modern methods As a scout - Wenger apparently employed him as a scout, but there's no doubt he'd be too concerned with looking for plodders (e.g. signed Nolan, Lov, R.Taylor) As a manager - awful record since Wimbledon which was like 15 years ago now, and heart problems means he's a risk to himself and employers As a DoF - not modern enough, comes across as a crusty old man spouting gibberish and just won't do As a pundit - too sweary and unpredictable as well as not knowing fuck all and making constant mistakes like mispronunciations, incorrect facts etc Ashley is his only ticket back into a footballing gig.

Aye. Souness used to harp on about injuries (and he did have some fairly bad ones at times) but he always rushed players back and made it worse. Roeder did have a fucking ton, like. Steve Harper used to joke in the Chronicle that when he was sat on the bench he was like a childminder.

I believe that he said it but I totally don't believe it's genuine. No way someone as clever as Ashley would spout off to someone who just introduced himself as a journalist. Pardew is probably in on it and when we get beaten at Stoke there'll be an awful realisation that he's here until we're too far down the table to recover.

Would love to, but can't afford the air ticket to fly into the States for their internet.

Score draw IMO, 1-1 and Pardew will be delighted that we've gone three unbeaten.
-
He's probably better than Simpson IMO. Certainly directly culpable for fewer goals against.

Putting aside my current views on the manager/owner for a minute, it's incredible how we always get Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal/Man City away from home just at the stage when said teams might actually play a serious XI, when we actually bother to win some cup games. Goes for FA Cup too.

Russell Slade has packed in at Leyton Orient a few hours after Cardiff made an approach. Club lawyers are on it apparently.

Let's have a fucking hammering please Colin W.

Absolutely thrilled at my impending nightshift which will mean I don't have to follow this obvious debacle for more than ten more minutes.

Roeder is well thought of as a backroom bloke, he's just not an effective manager. He'd be an infinitely better choice than Hobo Joe.

I must have missed Leicester getting all that oil money in order to beat Man Utd's spending power.
-
Great goal by Tevez.
-
2 points from Hull and Crystal Palace at home is absolutely pathetic.
-
He's not even shown glimpses, though. He looks totally and utterly unsuitable.
-
Deary me. I've seen absolutely nowt from him to suggest otherwise. He looks physically weak and flatters to deceive. Even in a Pardew side I'd expect a few glimpses - there's been nowt.
-
Aye, only the two conceded. 10/10

Dear Golfmag, You're everything that is wrong with our club. Best regards, Brazil Thanks for that. Nice to know you can respect 40 years of loyal support and a rational debate. This is the most pathetic comment I've read in months, from anyone. It makes absolutely no difference how long you've been a supporter for - if anything, it's worse that someone who has followed the team for so long can be so blind to the blatant abject failures of this current team and its manager. If you honestly believe that nobody could do any better than Pardew regardless of what Ashley/Charnley served up this summer, then there really is no hope left for you. If you can't find your bus pass, you've probably left it in the fridge.
-
Another start serving up absolutely bugger all.

He's shit. Pardew or not, he's a poor imitation of Ben Arfa.
