I could see a full-back signed in January. Krafth out of contract and linked with Copenhagen, Trippier getting on, Hall and Livramento struggled with injuries, Targett gone. That's probably all though & I don't think we'd be desperate to do it, it would only be if we could get the player/value we wanted.

He did in the first twenty mins or so, because I saw it happen.

He was poor first half, much better second half I thought. Gave the ball away loads, first 20 minutes between him and Gordon they must have gifted possession away 3 or 4 times each. Did like some of the runs he was making, like for the offside goal which was closer than initially thought & the chance where he stuck the rebound over. And of course for the goal, well positioned. I think he'll continue to be important for us in certain games & scenarios but I'd like to see Ramsey and/or Miley get their share of minutes and not see Joe as an automatic first pick.

Looks a bit tired I think. Wissa can't come soon enough to take some of the burden off him. Frustrating that Osula has a problem as well so he'll have to play pretty much every minute unless we're super comfortable at the end like tonight.

The absolute ideal opponent for us to run into tonight. Absolutely no cut and thrust up top and leaving loads of gaps at the back. Can't sniff at a win and a clean sheet, and two really decent well worked goals. However, the issues that were magnified at West Ham were there to see once again, slightly improved but still obvious. So, so many of the players guilty of giving the ball away easily multiple times. Gordon, Joelinton, Murphy and Elanga chief culprits. That was Gordon's Kenedy at Cardiff game and I'm not surprised he went off with a dubious looking injury. He knew he was having one. Woltemade is looking tired. So typical that Osula has a knock at the same time we're waiting for Wissa to get back. Feel like he needs a bit of the burden taken off him. I predicted we'd win 2 or 3 nowt relatively comfortably tonight before going to Brentford and getting beat, hopefully I'm only half right.

All four of our wide players can't control or retain the ball for toffee. Been so noticeable tonight.

Woltemade's boot came off and yet he got it back on within 5 seconds. Someone send that clip to Djed Spence and the Sky cunts who were whining about it.

I'm first to complain about them usually but this ref has been excellent IMO. Got most of everything right, spotting off the ball fouls, tried to let it flow but (apart from once) given the correct advantage or waited and then given the free kick. Such basics but nice to see them for once.

Feel like this is made to measure for Miley's composure and accurate passing and yet we've got Joelinton giving it away constantly and inviting pressure. After Sunday and today Eddie needs to sit him down for a while. He's adding absolutely nothing and actually hampering the side. We've not created much, and that Gordon performance was the absolute pits. Hopefully we can get a second goal and put it to bed before too long. Burn's header was a belter. Great timing.

I suppose Joelinton starting tonight means Miley or Ramsey are more likely to start on Sunday. We've more chance of getting away with slack possession in midfield in this game than the other.

Joelinton Hopefully that means Miley or Ramsey starts at Brentford if nowt else.
