I'm fairly sure under Hughton we'd have lost that 1-0. We seem to have the ability under Pardew now to keep hold of the game, instead of dominating it for a period and then losing the 'grip' after the dominance.
So many things were shit about that night + the fallout:
- Squad lost confidence for the rest of the season
- Roeder banished Bramble then went back on it
- Huntington hung out to dry and given 2/10 by the Chronicle despite being exposed by Carr's late skive
- Roeder admitting before the game he was looking for a 0-0
- The marking on the second goal
- Roeder bringing on an unfit Emre and leaving Milner on the bench
- N'Zogbia given about 6 minutes to turn the tie
- Dyer's miss of one of the easiest chances ever
one of the all time lows.
