He fluffed a really easy header on his debut against Cardiff at home. I think that may have been the start of his confidence being shot. Guy in the Gallowgate jokingly shouted "geddim sold!" after the headed miss (think we were 2-0 up) and we all laughed. Oh, I feel silly for laughing now. Still, would like to see the guy get a chance ahead of Lovenkrands and probably Shola who looks about 80% fit and off the boil.

Keane on loan would be good January business. I think we'll try for him too. If we're looking for someone to "kick, scamper, cross badly" then I'd rather it wasn't SWP because he infuriates me. Overrated.

The thing that pissed me off most was his awful throat-clearing every half sentence in the press conferences. Used to turn up with his hair all greasy too, just a complete shambles. He looked every inch a 'Remember the 90's?' appointment, almost as if he hadn't washed or changed clothes since.

Parker was a good signing, just went a bit sour in his final 6 months or so at the club. His decline in our colours can be blamed partially on his glandular fever he had and partially on Roeder trying to play him as our 'driving force' from midfield, which didn't really work considering what he was surrounded with.

Kinnear was a fucking brainless twat but he wasn't the worst appointment, at all. If he hadn't been taken ill, we'd have stayed up with games to spare imo. Arguably, Shearer was a worse appointment, but no-one will accept that. Will they?

Di Maria isn't even that good ffs. I liken that deal to the Milner to City one - overpriced, overrated, and a player that wasn't really needed.

I think I'm basing that off several useful pre-season displays that even saw a few goals.

Maybe the 'gets better when injured due to shit alternative' thing really IS true. If so, I'm expecting big things from Leon Best this season.
