    Other clubs' transfers

Depends, if Arsenal qualify for the CL i reckon he will stay........ who is going to buy him who could afford him? Barca? dont need him...... Madrid ? dont need him...... Milan? dont need him...... Bayern? Dont need him...... The only two who could make sense are Juventus ( tho i think the forward they buy will be of a different profile and will be in his early 20s) and City simply because they buy anyone and everyone....... But even City has Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and loads of other other AM/Wingers aswell, he would be smart to stay at Arsenal. Just seen this. Left me speechless, some really strange stuff in that post.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Every time Hatem made a pass, he was wanting to get Tiote on the ball, particularly when Simpson had it. Lovely to see him trying to dictate things.
  3. have a proper answer in the summer hopefully. Not sure, depends how Taylor comes back. He won't accept being third choice IMO. I was assuming all these links with big money signings like Vertonghen were if Coloccini was off. We need a good young player to push Williamson down the pecking order. We need to sell Williamson and buy two CBs. Disagree, Williamson is a capable and (probably) willing backup. We would struggle to sign a better player that we could keep happy. The focus should either be on a class CB to go straight in, or a promising young one that can gradually step in. Recovery of Saylor is also a factor. This irks me about our lesser players, people saying they're good enough to be back up when they're clearly not. Williamson was a back up this season and has been pretty woeful since he's come into the side and we've dropped points as a result of it. What defining attributes does he have that would make you happy to see him in our starting XI at any point next season? I can't think of one. Even someone like Obertan for example, at least he has pace which can be used as a useful tool. I'm 100% confident we could find a young defender on the continent for a couple of million (max.) who would be willing to be back up and has more ability than Williamson. We should be looking to bring in a good CB to be playing alongside Colo, leaving Steven Taylor to battle it out with him and then another to come in and be 4th choice.

    Dogawful Officiating

Not really. How's he supposed to see that? O'Shea's been clever with how he's holding onto Williamson, like most other defenders do. Williamson made it clear as day what he was doing. The two incidents are completely different, albeit both shirt pulling.
  6. Biggest signing the club has made in years. The biggest signing we'll make over the duration of his new deal too. Absolutely ecstatic, love you Colo.
  7. If we have a free kick in a position like on those pictures, hopefully he'll be nowhere near it.

    The England Thread

Tiote can pass the ball forward which automatically makes him better than Parker.
  9. Posted in the ticket thread but thought I'd stick it in here too. Got a spare for this, PM me if you want it.
  10. Haha, you're welcome. Shame you couldn't get the rest on too but at least you got your cash down. Think I've served you well this weekend! Thank you, master Telling you, man, RL is where the real money is to be made. Indeed it is! Unbelievable profits to be made there like. Tell me what we will profit from next week, oh worthy one! Whatever it is, I cant see it beating this weeks avalanche Calm down, you'll jinx it! Will have a look at the fixtures in more detail later but the two Hull games look to be where the money will be going. Aye, this weekend is going to be difficult to match...or is it, Rey?

  13. So, Barca can't win away in Germany because it's a little chilly but Real can win in Russia because "they'll be well prepared for it", interesting. Yeah, yeah... thought Leverkusen would be stronger that day. That they were playing my 'beloved' Barcelona probably played a factor, too. Shouldn't bet with your heart. Can often make you look silly.

  15. Claims they tried to get Torres in on a short term loan deal in January...

    FA Coaching Badges

Aye, was having a good chat with your nephew about you.
  17. Had this too but a little more than a fiver on. You going for it again? Yep, tenner on fourth Think they'll score again but going to leave it, price doesn't really tempt me in. Actually, balls to it. £20 @ 5/4.

    Twitter

Bet Rooney's tweet will go down well. What an idiot. “@WayneRooney: @tomclevz23 @rioferdy5 zzzzzzzzzzz pga golf is on. Come on boys. Funny that 2 toures was there all the way and lost. Haha.”
  20. Just a hunch but I reckon he'll be sold in the summer. We've moved on a hell of a lot from when we signed him and I think he's starting to look a little out of place. We can do better and I think the club know this.
  21. I think to say he would never have played professionally is overstating it but he's an incredibly poor footballer in terms of what he can do with the ball at his feet, which is surprising when you consider which academy he came up through, and right to the top of it too. I honestly don't think it is. Like I said in my last post, had he been born in any other decent footballing nation he wouldn't have made it, he'd have been laughed at for his ability on the ball. You can get away with lack of pace, size, whatever you want to name, if you're good on the ball. If you're not, there's nowhere to hide and not a lot you can fall back on. I was at a coaching event a few weeks back with the England U17 manager who gave a presentation on how they are trying to change the footballing philosophy in this country. Whilst listening to him speak, the first player that came into my head that would be redundant if the FA can implement the change in philosophy was Simpson. They want every player on the pitch to be capable of actually playing football. They want the fullbacks to become more attack minded but still be able to defend. They're the two things that related most to Simpson. If he was coming through the ranks in 10-15 years time, again if the FA can get everything into place and develop their ideas properly, he wouldn't stand a chance. On the ball, he's woefully inept. He's shit scared of the ball being anywhere near him and his distribution is embarrassing. He adds nothing going forward and his crossing is farcical. His control and first touch are poor. It genuinely makes you feel like there's a bomb in the ball when he has it at his feet. You can actually see the panic appear across his face when he's placed under the tiniest bit of pressure. Off the ball he isn't much better either. Everyone knows his backing off is terrible. His positional awareness for someone who's played in that position all of his life is awful. His lack of nous and footballing brain doesn't help his cause either. He just generally doesn't seem to think about what he's doing. Then to top it all off, his attitude stinks. If you make an error or are out of position, fine, it happens, but work your bollocks off to get back into position and make up for it. The amount of time I've seen Simpson just jogging back to get back into position this season has been embarrassing. That's before the constant whinging on the pitch and the pointing and blaming of team mates, even when it's quite clearly his own fault. To fit right in with the current national set up, he's got a massive ego and an overinflated opinion of himself too. Rather than bleating about players who are better than him and for an England call up that is a million miles away, why not try and improve as a player to then actually have a right to clamour for that call up. He does for me sum up what's wrong with football in this country and I'm glad that with a bit of work, a player with his limited ability should become a thing of the past over the next decade or so. I don't think it's that bad wanting a professional footballer to be capable of actually playing football, do you?
  22. If he was French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German, etc. he would never have played football professionally. Says a lot about the state of football in this country when he's getting game time at the highest club level. As a player, he epitomises everything that's wrong with football in this country.
