I've been disappointed with other players leaving but for the first time this summer I'm scared for this club. We need Taylor now and if he is seriously thinking about going then that to me means that there won't be a sale (of the club) and we will have an owner who doesn't want to be here and doesn't want to fund this club. I hope we know what's happening with the sale tomorrow one way or another I don't think I can stand reading another article saying a decision will be made next week.

Disagree I thought he did his job well won a fair few balls in the air and kept at them when they had the ball. He's never going to be a creative mid. Oh and he did his usual stupid challenge of the game which isn't great but as long as it's only one per game Unfortunately I can seeing doing more than one per game, regularly. We can but hope!

Great finish by Shola my only bad comment about him is the amount of times he gets caught of side because he stops playing when he/the team loses the ball needs to focus a bit more I reckon. Random question but my mate told me that Vuckic hasn't even got a number this season. Checking my program I couldn't find the lad does this mean he can't play this season or some such?

Just got back from the match here are my observations. We were lucky to win that it was a very even game in which they dominated possession for periods of the game. We were ineffective on the ground it's a good thing we at least have Carol and Ameobi to dominate in the air. Raylor isn't a winger I don't care what anyone says he is useless going forward. Jonas was taken out of that game. They doubled up on him all the way through the match and as a result we could do fuck all while trying to play the ball on the ground especially as Raylor offered nothing going forward. We NEED a creative midfielder. Xisco is shit. He can't win the ball in the air which is the only way we create chances = Xisco is useless in this team. Ranger was good for all of 10 the mins that he was on. I doubt we'll win against Palace unless Joey's playing.

If Joey's out I'm going for a scrappy 2-1 win for the toon. -
You mean as in Xisco...!? Carroll has twice the potential Xisco has displayed since he arrived, and is younger - with the right coaching , esp by the likes of Shearer, he would turn out to be an very good CF. He's also been given more of a chance than Xisco has too. Something missing from Carroll's game for me, not sure what it is but there's just something not there. He doesn't get in enough goal scoring positions, and neither does Ameobi. They both had a field day yesterday against a small Reading side, they'll find it a lot harder against Wednesday. What annoys me most with Shola even though he got a hat-trick yesterday is still his lethargic attitude even when it comes to scoring goals. Several times when we had made a move forward and instead of busting a gut to get into the box he would still just toddle up and just be at the edge of the box not being a danger. At least Carroll puts a shift in. Aye, but his general play after the first goal yesterday was much better. Actually seemed more mobile: was chasing balls and pressuring defenders. If we can get him regular confidence injections, he might just kick some ass in this division. If Shola can threaten Sheffield on wednesday then fair play to him. He can't just have a stormer one game then disappear for a month which is what usually happens. If he gets nervy then he'll turn in a total shitter of a performance. I don't think he has the self-belief to just pick himself up and get on with it when things don't go right for him. Not really surprising considering all our fans pretty much hate him and are on his back constantly Not surprising considering he's been picking up big wages for doing fuck all for seven or eight years. Maybe this is a turning point for both parties: Shola and the fans. Thats not the point I've heard our fans screaming at him calling him all sorts I've never heard such abuse directed to an opposing player! He is never going to be the best player in the world and is more than likely going to be severely frustrating to watch this season but when you're at the match supporting your team ffs don't slag off your own players. I'm not saying I've never said 'Shola's shite' to a mate or on these forums at some point but I've never given the lad abuse when I'm at the match. I really do hope this is a turning point as far as his relationship with the fans goes but I doubt it.

Enrique was the best on view IMO but Barton showed his class at times. Its a Pity now he would be chucked out if Shearer were to be back as manager. I doubt he'll get sold now even if Shearer comes back. It's too late in the season for that to happen.

Some Pool coach said he's the best finisher he's ever seen including some M.Owen! Still I woulnd't take him on loan as he's not gonna make it first team here anyway and we've already got player for that position...Haris Vuckic Good point I've heard a lot of good things about the lad. Hope to see him on the bench today at least.

? Everybody is the bloody next whoever. Im the next Rooney I read a scout report about him on Sky where they bigged him up using that line. Also he's a personal fave of mine from FM playing 5 seasons for my Accrington Stanley team then joining me at Newcastle
-
My biggest relegation perk is the fact our team on FM will actually have photos No more Lawro's a close second.
-
Lauri Dalla Valle - Liverpool Reserves touted as the next Torres. He also plays in midfield.

I'm in the Milburn Stand level 7 with me first evaaaa season ticket. Wish I'd got one for the singing section though but my mate didn't want to. Highlight of my season last year was sitting at the very top of the singing section during the Boro game.

Will you be going to the trent before hand? I'd be up for the trent if there's a general gathering planned.....I've got no mates interested in footy apart from dan b Dan's your mate? I thought you were his carer. I'm tempted to work the game for the cash like, I think i'll see how I feel. No worries just thought there was something planned by forum people.
